5k – Sub 25 minute goal
10k – Complete first 10k race, complete in 48 – 54 min
Long Term Goals
Increase speed and distance, work towards completing a half marathon.
Completed first 5k race in Spring – trail run finishing sub 30 min. Longest run during training was 9 miles (no walking/stopping – used to struggle running more than 3 miles at a time). Have shaved about 1-2 minutes off of mile time over the course of a year.
Favorite Part About Being a Runner
The sense of accomplishment after competing a particularly long or tough run. The running community.
