SPECIALTIES
I help runners reach their untapped potential in road running and on the track! I coach runners in distances from the 800m to the 5k to the marathon. Helping people discover or rediscover the joy for running is my passion. Whether you are someone who wants to make this a lifestyle or just hit a shorter-term goal, I have the experience to find what will work for you as an individual and give you the consistency and training guidance to get there.
PHILOSOPHY
Running has the potential to change your life in so many ways! You can accomplish your running goals without sacrificing other parts of your life – and the truth is life is constantly going to alter your training plan. As a coach, I aim to be an asset to you by doing the planning and analyzing, so you can focus on running and the rest of your busy life. My philosophy is that patience, consistency and trusting the process will help you reach big goals. This will also help you stay healthy as you develop as a runner. I believe that consistency is key, but we also need to be ok with pivoting when life gets in the way. I create plans specific to each runner, your goals and your schedule. I am here to help athletes become stronger physically and mentally, whether that means hitting the PR of your dreams or becoming a more confident runner in a new phase of life. Runner feedback on workouts and races is important to me and will help me collaborate with you so that we can get you to your goal.
COACHING EXPERIENCE
Helping people succeed in running is one of my passions. I am the assistant coach of a high school track team, a volunteer coach for a local running club, an indoor cycling coach and a personal running coach! I have the most experience with road running distances from the 5k through the marathon. I have plenty of experience with track and trail running as well. I completed training and exams through both USATF and RRCA.
I met one of my athletes while I was pacing a half marathon. She had only been running for about a year and I could see the desire she had to succeed. As I gave her pointers and positive feedback, she was fought hard through the race even when it was tough. I could see her potential and I wanted to help her on this running journey. She hit a PR that day and we connected right after the race. She is now one of my athletes and we are working towards her first marathon together! I get so much joy from helping runners hit their goals, which is why I joined TeamRunRun. I believe that people can achieve even more than they can imagine, which is what I want to help athletes do.
ABOUT ME
I am an adventure seeking, animal loving, running coach! I enjoy running on roads, trails and the track. My favorite distances to race are the 10 miler, half, and the marathon. I really enjoy participating in races as a pacer to help motivate others to hit a new PR! I’m always trying to get my friends and family to run or participate in local 5ks. I ran cross country in middle school and high school, played college rugby, and then became a runner again after college. I have a total of about 16 years of running experience. I absolutely love traveling, so I have been tackling the world majors. So far, I have completed Boston, Berlin, New York City, London and I hope to run both Chicago and Tokyo in 2024! Since these races are popular amongst marathoners, I am trying to do them so that I can give my athletes my take on the race with first-hand experience.
Aside from being a personal running coach, I coach high school track and am an indoor cycling instructor (yay for cross training!). I’m vegan and I love animals – I have 3 cats, a dog and a parrot! My non-running dream is to become fluent in another language – currently I am trying to learn Spanish and ASL.
BIG INFLUENCES
Some of the runners I look up to are Nell Rojas, Keira D’Amato and Molly Huddle, along with many non-elite runners. Each of these runners are unique and have a different story that brought them to where they are today. It is incredible how running impacts peoples’ lives and brings us together. I have worked with several coaches and have taken valuable information from each of them. I read coaching books and books written by runners whenever I have the chance. I believe in continuous education, and I love learning, so I can recognize in others something I may not have experienced myself.
RACING HISTORY
My very first marathon was the Boston Marathon in 2018. If you don’t recall this day, it was basically a grueling, frigid monsoon (there are shirts that say “I swam the Boston Marathon 2018”). That day I learned the power of mindset, not to listen to those negative voices in your head, and you can likely do so much more than you think you are capable of. My view of runners and their tenacity completely changed. I went into that race thinking I would do one marathon and check it off the bucket list, but somehow my life has been sprinkled with marathons ever since. I have been able to take over an hour (and counting) off my time. I want to help others find out what they can do. Whether it is a marathon or another distance, there is magic waiting to happen.
Since then, I have run a total of 10 marathons! I have run countless other races, from the 5k to the 50k.

Vanessa Hill –
I reached out to Amanda to help me navigate training for my first marathon, while working full time and taking care of two young children. She has been an amazing support so far in this journey. She helps me plan my runs and workouts around my constantly changing schedule and has offered encouragement and wise advice when I’ve struggled. She’s very communicative and prompt to respond to questions with thoughtful guidance. I’m so grateful to have found her!
Genesis K Goss –
I originally started working with Amanda with a goal of a sub 2:00 half marathon time. Through her support and encouragement, I gained the confidence to actually sign up for my first full marathon! I have been extremely impressed with the level of communication, commitment, and support Amanda has shown me. She is the best coach!
Rebecca Fafara –
Amanda has been a huge part of my running journey and improvement. Not only have I decreased my overall race time (5k), I have become stronger and my recovery time has been improving. I’m very happy to have found Amanda; She’s very passionate about running and helping people reach their overall running goals, whatever they may be. I personally would recommend her for anyone who needs that extra push or even to take you to the next level. Can’t wait for my next race, to really test myself! Thanks, Amanda!
