Finding a coach who is a great fit for you is really important. We encourage you to email your coach prior to signing up so you can connect, communicate, and ensure a good athlete/coach fit.
My specialties range anywhere from track to marathon distances. I’m excited to get to work with anyone who has a desire to improve and take their running and fitness to a new level. This could be a new runner trying to find a training program that meets their needs, to the new mom getting back into the swing of things (hi fellow moms!), all the way to experienced athletes looking to lower their PR’s and high school athletes looking for structured summer training to prepare for the fall… and everyone in between! My expertise extends to strength training, nutrition, return to running programs and racing strategies.
My coaching philosophy centers around two important pieces: Communication and Consistency. Communication is everything in the coach-athlete relationship. It allows us to start off at the right level and progress at a rate that is appropriate to your fitness level and life demands. Consistency in training is as important as anything. The more days, weeks, months and years of well executed, purposeful training you can string together, the more you set yourself up for success. Sleeping well, resting, maintaining adequate nutrition, hydrating, stretching, executing proper warm-ups to avoid injury, etc… These are the little things important to your success along the way. Train smarter, not harder. Training is always individualized to your specific needs and goals.
I’ve spent the past 4 years as an Assistant Coach at the University of Washington, working with the men’s and women’s middle distance and distance athletes. Prior to that I coached one year of high school track and XC, along with 4 years of UW Track and Field clinics.
I currently live in Seattle, WA but grew up in beautiful British Columbia. I attended the University of Washington and ran both XC and track (primarily 5000m and 10000m). I’m a new mom and have so much respect for all those parents I see running with jogging strollers – YOU THE REAL MVP’S! Pizza, coffee shops and movies are a few of my favorite things. I love running because anyone can do it and anyone can see improvement. There’s nothing like the feeling of finishing a great run or meeting your race goals – nothing!
“If you have a passion for something, then you have purpose for your existence.” Do what you you love and love what you do.

A transparent and consistent coach review system is really valuable to us. The main goal of reviews
is to make sure a coach is fulfilling their obligations, is available for their runner, is communicating well and being responsive, is demonstrating knowledge, and is simply providing a great experience. We reach out to runners for a review 2 months after they’ve been with a coach, which is ample time for a runner to know if their coach is fulfilling these obligations.
