PHILOSOPHY

As Sally McRae says, “I am going to make this the best that I can make it, with what I have today, in this season.”

I believe that running is an adaptable, challenging, exciting adventure. Running can be your best friend or your arch nemesis. I love coaching because I know how beneficial running is to a holistic, fun lifestyle. I want to help fit running into your ideal lifestyle, not your ideal lifestyle into running.

I believe mothers can fully embrace motherhood while challenging & exploring their running abilities to the maximum level!

I believe running is a catalyst for stronger people/women/mothers/friends/spouses.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

My background is in Recreational Therapy (B.S. and M.S.). I worked with adaptive sports coaching, and have taught yoga for 8 years. After multiple people asked me to help them meet their running goals, I became RRCA Level 1 coaching certified in early 2023.

I have worked in a coaching format with kids, adults, and school programs. I look forward to the opportunity to team up with you on an individual level to see what we can accomplish together!

ABOUT ME

I am married to a fellow-runner, have two awesome kids, and love running with a passion! My friends would describe me as determined, goofy, and adventurous.

I started running when I was 12 years old and my sister forced me to run with her as she was training to run at the collegiate level. I hated running but loved being with my sister. Over time, I fell in love with running more & more. I ran my first half marathon freshman year of college, my first marathon junior year of college (where I decided I would never run that far again…), and then proceeded to knock off my first few 50ks before having children. I finished a 12-hour race and placed second female over all in my first 100 miler within a year of having my son. Since then I have enjoyed finding ways to fit running into parenthood by doing things life stroller runs, and running 1 half marathon for each month that I was pregnant with our daughter Ruth.

Some of my big motivators to get out to run and set big goals are:

  • Opportunities to grow my faith
  • Community
  • Personal challenge
  • Fitness and health

BIG INFLUENCES

  • Sally McRae – She is SO strong in every way!
  • My sister Molly – She introduced me to running & continues to dedicate herself to excellence.
  • My husband Fabien – Who I fell in love with on the trail. He is the ultimate running partner!
  • Ashley Keller/GlowbodyPT – She has the BEST prenatal/postnatal programs for women who are looking to have functional strength.
  • Shalane Flanagan – Her love for running and nutrition is undeniably contagious!
  • My dad – Who shared the love of our Heavenly Father while crushing big hills.
  • Aaron Saft – My running coach who pushes me to run hard runs hard, and easy runs easy.
