SPECIALTIES
With certifications in nutrition, personal training, corrective exercises, and endurance coaching, I specialize in developing a holistic and highly individualized training/racing program for all bodies. This can come with remote gait-analysis to improve running economy and reduce your risk of injury, goal setting and race preparation/strategy, and overall performance development through accessory training recommendations as well!
PHILOSOPHY
Be good, have fun, learn something.
I live by those words and therefore I coach within those parameters as well. Strive to be a good person, a good athlete. Have fun in everything that you can. You will always perform better if you can have fun doing it. Lastly, we should all be finding opportunities to learn. Learn about yourself, learn about how to be a better athlete, learn about how to communicate effectively. The more we learn, the better we can be!
My passion is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, and through effective communication, consistency, and care I can ensure the best possible results for all athletes. It is vital that an athlete understands why they are looking for a coach, why they want to train more effectively, and why they want to achieve a goal. Through clear communication, we will develop a sustainable plan that keeps you consistent in training and racing. When you are more consistent and when you have confidence in yourself and your crew, you will always perform better.
Let’s find your why!
COACHING EXPERIENCE
2018 – Present: Private adult coach; hybrid online/in-person
2018 – Present: High School XC/Track coach
ABOUT ME
Born in Bellingham, WA I was always surrounded by athletes and active people. I learned to lean into sports with full commitment from a young age, but the rule was that you always had to have fun doing it. Running throughout my childhood into a competitive WA State XC/Track athlete, I secured a spot on the Loyola Marymount University DI XC/Track program from 2014 – 2018. During this time, I completed a BA in Urban Planning and an MA in Education. After graduating from LMU, I moved back to WA to coach both private clients and high school athletes while becoming certified in nutrition, corrective exercises, personal training, and endurance running coaching. During this time I also worked as a run coach and recovery specialist while completing more school through WGU, earning another Masters degree in education, a WA State Teachers Certification, and a Health & PE Endorsement. Now I am working in run specialty and enjoying focusing on my own training and racing calendar as well as my athlete’s as we reach for big goals in 2023 and beyond!
BIG INFLUENCES
Jack Daniels and Arthur Lydiard create a foundation for many coaches to base training around. Personally, I fold in new research and studies every day in order to continue to grow as a coach and provide the best service to my athletes. I work closely with many PT’s, strength coaches, running coaches, therapists etc. that are in my ever-growing network of professionals in order to fine-tune my coaching in all aspects. In addition, my athletes always have responses and ideas based on the coaching that I give them. From that, I can learn a lot about what if an effective strategy to use moving forward or how to adapt/adjust in order to meet the needs of a unique athlete (we are all unique).

Anne Wilson –
As a senior runner, never having had a coach before, I was a little apprehensive about working with a coach but it has been a good experience. Chris quickly put me at ease with his friendly approach while establishing my goals. He has encouraged me for my strengths while working on my weaknesses. I feel that I have established better training habits and that my running has improved. Chris has been very responsive whenever I have needed to contact him. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a running coach
