I work primarily to develop emerging athletes at the middle school, high school, and college levels, and I specialize in events from 800m to 5k. I have direct experience running and coaching these events, and I appreciate the nuances of a balanced training plan for the middle and long distances. I will work with you on all aspects of your training, from speed development to distance work to strength/mobility training!

At the top of my list as a coach is an athlete’s long-term development. I want to set my runners up for continued, long-lasting success in running—not just for short-term results. To that end, health and consistency come first. That means listening to our bodies, avoiding injuries, and taking care of our minds throughout the process. I like to have routines in place to proactively avoid any setbacks.

My approach to training keeps that primary goal in mind as well. I focus on speed development, mixed paces, and a gradual increase in overall volume. I work to develop versatile runners with a broad skillset—one enables them to compete in any type of race situation. Your combination of distance running, threshold work, and track work will depend on your primary event and your strengths as a runner. The optimal balance of these different factors is delicate, and I’ll take the time to ensure it’s right for you!

I’ve been involved with the sport for over 10 years, and I am beginning to apply that experience to coaching! I have coached cross-country at the high school level (Middlesex School – Concord, MA) in 2019 and have also worked with individual athletes training for the distance events. I play a big role in writing my own training program as well.

I’m a 1500m runner training in Arizona as I pursue a professional career in the sport. On the collegiate level, I competed for Princeton University and Arizona State University, and I went to high school in Massachusetts. I love competing, coaching, and exploring new ways to get better!

As an athlete, I’ve experienced the highs and lows of elite-level training. I’ve been lucky enough to have great performances, but I’ve also experienced injury, sickness, and performance ruts along the way. Through it all, I’ve learned so much about what works and doesn’t work in training, and I want to bring those lessons to you!

I’ve been lucky to work with some of the best coaches in the country and soak up a lot of knowledge along the way. My biggest influences as a coach include Malcolm Russell, Jason Vigilante, and Cory Leslie. The training systems of Sebastian Coe and the Ingebrigtsen brothers have also had a big impact on my coaching philosophy.

I have experience at some of the biggest races in the country, having competed at the USA Track and Field Championships, Penn Relays, and even the Falmouth Road Race. These races gave me insight into the racing and preparation of some of the sport’s greatest athletes, and they motivate me to be ready for my next big opportunity.
