PHILOSOPHY

I love seeing runners achieve their goals. I work carefully with my athletes to make sure their training is optimized for them to reach their desired goals. Sometimes runners need an extra push and sometimes they need someone to hold them back so they don’t push to hard. I strive to help runners find just the right balance so that they can reach their running goals injury free and feel good about their accomplishments.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

1 Year – Coached and trained athletes who had never run more than a 10km race to run their first ultramarathons. Also coached runners who were looking to increase their mileage over the course of the year.

ABOUT ME

I love trail running! Whenever I can I am out on the trails for a run or a hike. I also love the social aspect of ultras and trail running. Running with others is my favorite way to socialize and hang out.

BIG INFLUENCES

One of my largest influences is ultrarunning legend David Horton. He was a professor of mine and got me into the sport of running ultras. I learned many valuable skills from the years I spent running with him. When it comes to creating training plans I largely follow methods used by Jason Koop as well as others used by Killian Jornet.

RACING HISTORY

I have raced over 15 ultramarathons in all types of weather and environments. I have run flat smooth trail as well as technical rocky races with thousands of feet of elevation gain. I have raced in freezing cold blizzards as well as hot and humid summers.
