PHILOSOPHY

Promoting a long and healthy athletic career that is fun and makes you want to get out the door everyday along with the ultimate goals of injury prevention and increased performance

COACHING EXPERIENCE

I completed a personal training internship in college where we had 20 hours in the class room learning training theory and client communication skills as well as hands on labs. I coached individuals in person at my campus recreation center for 2 years as an ACE CPT. Since then I have coached a handful of individuals in road and trail running, OCR, strength training and power lifting as a NASM CPT. I am currently a veterinary student and actually program and coach for client’s working and sporting dogs as well on an individual and class basis!

ABOUT ME

I am a veterinary student interested in all things working dog medicine and sports medicine. You can usually find both me and my dog either squatting or running up a mountain, that’s right she squats too! I have a very strong background in weight lifting and Crossfit which is what originally got me into fitness. I was on the rowing team in college which is what initially made me fall in love with endurance sports and have placed top 3 in my age group in 15+ Spartan races. I have run a handful of road half marathons and marathons however my real love is the trails. Currently my favorite distance is the 50k and I have run 4 Spartan ultras and another trail 50k. I love My ultimate goal is to be the most well- rounded hybrid athlete ready to take on anything life throws at me!

BIG INFLUENCES

My two idols are currently David and Megan Roche of SWAP. Their training principles are evidence based and I love their scientific approach to training theory. My strength training and Crossfit background also influence my coaching style. I believe that strength training is so powerful in its role in injury prevention and love that it is very easily adaptable to any kind of fitness or experience level.

RACING HISTORY

My first race ever over a half marathon was the Killington Spartan Ultra which took me 14 hours to complete and is one of my memorable races to date! I had to dig very deep and race cut offs to make this finish happen and did over 200 burpees.
