I enjoy working with runners of all experience levels; from someone who is looking to finish their first 5k, to someone hoping to Boston qualify in the Marathon. I am particularly excited to work with runners looking to finish their first half or full marathons while staying injury free and growing in confidence in their running. I will provide customized trainings plans to meet you where you’re at in training and help you achieve your goals. My specialties are on the road, from 5k to marathon, but I have experience with trails as well.

At the end of the day, I’m passionate about helping any runner with a goal challenge themselves, and see that goal come to fruition!

First off, I believe every runner is unique and therefore deserves individual and customized support to help reach their goals. I also believe that with a goal in mind and willingness to work hard, any runner is capable of succeeding. I’ll work to include these beliefs into my coaching by creating customized training plans for each athlete based on their specific goals. I also think its important to listen to your body throughout training in order to reach the finish line strong and injury free – so we’ll work together throughout the process to make sure the plan is right for you!

I will also work to incorporate education into the training process as well – I’ll help you understand why specific workouts are important and be available to answer and any questions you may have.

I’ve been running for about 6 years now, and originally turned to the sport for stress relief during graduate school. I have since fallen in love with all aspects of running (obviously); the community, the races, the challenge of it all, and I’m so excited to help others fall in love with the sport just as I have!

I started my journey with a trail 10K and since then have run 6 half marathons, 2 full marathons, and countless 5k and 10k races (It’s addicting, so get ready!). This past summer I completed my second full marathon at Grandmas Marathon in Duluth MN. This was my first race after training with a coach and the results were truly amazing! Not only did I shave about 30mins off my time, but I also finished the race much healthier, stronger, and happier than any other race I had ever completed. Working with a coach helped me realize how holistic running needs to be – and how its about so much more than a time. I decided to get my run coach certification because I was so inspired to help others reach their goals while staying healthy, feeling strong, and most importantly finding joy on the run!

Steve Magness and his training methodology, as well as the 80/20 rule for intensity have influence my training programs.
