Running is both a physical and mental sport. It helps you to stay focused and continually pushes you to reach new goals.

Two years experience as a pace leader for my local running group and one year experience as a personal running coach.

A few years ago I was smoking and drinking too much, had gained a lot of weight and was miserable. I knew I needed to change but didn’t know how. A friend finally convinced me to run a 5k with her and my love for the sport snowballed from there. I started running after work during the week, my energy was higher and I was feeling fantastic! It wasn’t long before I quit my bad habits. I owe my health, physical and mental, to running.

I joined a running group when I decided I wanted to run a full marathon. The people from my pace group and I still get together to run and we are always convincing each other to do different races and challenges.

It all started with a 5k. I have since completed countless 5ks, 10ks, 15ks, half marathons, two full marathons, a few ultras and one obstacle course race.
