SPECIALTIES

I love working with all types of runners, from beginner runner to someone who is looking to take their running to the next level. As a coach, I would love to help you achieve your goals and help you plan for your next race or just if you’re hoping to take your running to the next level.

Let me help you by taking that guess work out of “what do I do next” or “where do I begin?” I love to talk all things running, and have learned a lot by trial and error and would love to pass on my knowledge to you, from fueling to what to wear. I have lived in the Midwest all my life so I’m an experienced runner with all of the elements-from blizzard conditions to 90 degrees, you name it, I have probably ran during it.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a hands on authentic person passionate about helping others achieve their own personal goals. As your coach, it’s important for me to know what your goals are, so that I can best help you achieve those goals. There is no one plan that fits all, and I want you to know that I will tailor your plan to meet your needs. I want each athlete to be challenged, motivated, and allows them to be their best.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

My coaching experience began before I was officially a certified coach. Many of my family and friends (from various levels of running) often ask for advise or tips on races and how to achieve their goals. In 2022, I became a certified RRCA run coach.

ABOUT ME

I live in Minnesota with my family, and have lived in the Midwest my entire life. I am an experienced long distance runner. I rang first half marathon as an adult, it was at that time that I knew my heart was with longer distance racing. During one of my 10 mile races, I passed under the American flag I got goosebumps. I envisioned for myself passing under that flag a marathoner. About two years later, I ran my first marathon and I’ve completed six marathons so far of my running career.

I am also a full time public service professional. In my free time I love to spend time traveling, going to country concerts, watching my kids compete in their sports and when I’m not in training mode, I enjoy doing other types of workouts.

BIG INFLUENCES

I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my friends who encouraged me to try my first half marathon many years ago, after a long break from running. I am influenced by other athletes, and love watching others achieve their personal and professional goals. Anything is possible, if you want it, and believe!

When I ran my first marathon I was lucky enough to have Sara running right next to me as a friend of a friend and also a cheerleader. This summer I decided to run a second marathon and again I was lucky enough to have Sara back with me, this time building my training plan using her experience and guidance to not only another finish but PR! Thank you for your time and support whenever I needed it and the effort you put into personalizing my training. 🏃🏻‍♀️ 💥

As a busy mom/wife/full time employee, Sara listened to my schedule and then created weekly running plans for me. Allowing me to focus on the hard work of running and training for my event. She’s made herself available whenever questions/comments/concerns come up and always mindful of all the chaos day to day life brings. I’m hopeful with her help/guidance/experience/planning, I’ll hit my goal this year!
