I’m running Georgia Death Race this weekend, which has been a goal race that I’ve been training for in the last 3 months. As of now, I’m signed up for Massanutten Mountain Trail 100, Manitou’s Revenge, and Wasatch 100. I am planning to sign up for Black Forest Ultra when it opens up. These are all goal races. I do other races that I use as training for my goal races.
Do well on all of my goal races.
Long Term Goals
Overall, I just wanna get faster and stronger to perform better on my races. A good 100-mile race performance has eluded me, I stink at them, so perhaps, I do want to run one where I would do quite well.
This sounds cliché, but I am proud of all my races and my accomplishments, regardless of how I did, DFL or podium. One of the reasons I started running was to lose weight and feel better overall, so any race finish is already beyond what I could ever do in the past 30 years of my life before I started running. But if I were to point to a few race accomplishments I was overly ecstatic for, I’d say my overall win at Labor Pains Ultra without training for it and after 3 weeks of finishing one of my hardest 100-miler; my sub-9 finish at Tammany 10; my redemption at Eastern States 100 after DNF the year before; and finishing Cruel Jewel 100.
Favorite Part About Being a Runner
I love the trail and ultra running community. I love being able to spend time on trails and mountains with friends.
Tammany 10, Cruel Jewel 100, and Labor Pains
