Years Running: On n off for 20-ish yrs

Current goals: To actually learn how to train. I want to dig deep and see how strong I can be as a runner.
Long-term, big shot goals that you someday hope to achieve with running: Transcon, Badwater course, Multi-day or staged adventures, and use running as a means to explore this amazing world. I want to run through as many years as I can in this body, even if I need a walker to do it. I turn 40 this year and plan on celebrating the whole darn year, I feel some scheming bubbling up. I am up for fun suggestions!
Tell us about your running accomplishment that you’re most proud of and why: Running from Kitsilano Beach, Vancouver, BC to Golden Gardens, Seattle, WA. It was a hair brained idea that I could not have pulled off without amazing community support. I was able to show my son that big goals can be achieved when you have a passion for something.
Favorite part about being a runner: It is so multifaceted and it serves so many different purposes in my life. I mainly love that it can be so fun and also give me strength/perspective when I feel like I have none. I have met some really amazing people (including my husband!) because of running.
Best races: Badger 100 2017. I DNF’d at 50 miles due to a muscle strain. It was a come back race from a long stint of not much running and poor health. I was soo excited to just be healthy enough to start the race. I had SO MUCH FUN!
Running words of wisdom: Running and racing is a privilege, try and remember that!
