Tell us about your running accomplishment that you’re most proud of and why:
Last January, a friend of mine and I organized a 24-hour treadmill challenge. We raised over $1,300 for an animal shelter and both ran over 100 miles. I ran 107.7 miles, the furthest distance I have run to date. I love combining my passions, and this was a massive mental challenge that provided an avenue for helping a local organization.
Favorite part about being a runner:
Running has brought me perspective at every stage in my life. It produces humbling moments with friends and family and puts me on a mountain spine at sunrise. It is an escape in times of stress and struggle; an instigator of great euphoria. I am humbled by its many challenges. It has changed the way I view the world.
