Specialties

I take pleasure in assisting runners from all backgrounds and skill levels. Be it someone completing their first 5k or someone going for a Boston Qualifier or tackling the world of ultra-marathons. I will meet my runners where they currently are in training. In particular, I enjoy working with newer runners whom just started this awesome sport of running and aim to help them achieve the same love and passion I have grown to love about running!

Philosophy

I believe running should be fun and a great way to unplug and rest in this fast pace world. No running plan is a one size fits all, I work with my runners on a customized 1-on-1 training plan that is unique to them. Every person is different, and so is their individual path to success. Having a tailored approach just for you guarantees that not only your performance increases, but the process of getting their on this journey is enjoyable and I dare to say fun. I want YOU to be able to walk up to the start line and have no doubt in your mind your are going to crush your goal and have a huge smile while doing it!

Coaching Experience

I have fallen in love with running over the last 5 years, and in doing so I am the go to guy with my family and friends to ask about any running related questions. I helped coach my brother through his first marathon, along with pacing him the whole 26.2 miles. Just recently I have helped both my brothers in completing their first ever ultra-marathons.

About Me

I am from a town about 30 miles north of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Growing up I had a distain for running, particularly do to having to run the mile twice a year in middle school and high school. It was not until about 5 years ago I got the runners bug from my sister doing her first Half Marathon. This lit a metaphorical fire under my bum.

I signed up for my first marathon knowing nothing about running at all. I found a plan online and just started running, and running I was doing but little did I know I was training to fast and hard. I got injured a month before my race day and i thought my running career was over before it ever started. I managed to finish that race. However, my lack of knowledge with nutrition and hydration was evident.

Fast forward now a couple years, a few more marathons, and lots and lots of reading, scouring forums, and watching videos my marathon experience has increased tremendously. During my last marathon at Grandma’s in 2024 I was able to run the entire race course, negative split the race, and come in over 2 minutes faster than my goal time of 3:10. That trumped in comparison to how I felt coming down the final stretch of the race. I felt weightless, nothing could stop me, not the rain the entire course or my waterlogged shoes. I was doing what I set my goals out to be and crushing it.

My goal as a coach is to help my athletes achieve that feeling I had on that day. I know what it feels like starting out and being overwhelmed with information and advice. I know what it is to being forced to walk the last 6 miles of the race. I want to help YOU by using my past experience and knowledge on what to and not to do during a race, so you are able to run and have that indescribable feeling I experienced.

Big Influences

My biggest influence is my older sister. She completed a 1/2 marathon, which I thought at the time was impossible. Seeing her complete the race and the joy and satisfaction in her actions after the race made me want to get into running more than a couple miles a week to stay fit. So naturally, being her little brother I had to out do her and do a full marathon, and the rest is history after that.

Race History

I ran my first ever sanctioned race in the fall of 2021, it just happened to be a full marathon first! I swore many times during the race that I would never do another marathon again. I missed my goal of sub-4 hours by less than 2 minutes, so being any logical runner I signed up for another marathon to get my goal.
Since that first marathon I have completed a handful of other marathons, along with pacing my brother through his first marathon! Additionally I have done a 50K and 50 mile ultra and love hitting the trails. Along with some shorter events like 5K and 10K’s.

Currently chasing a goal for the 5K and mile, along with a goal of competing in all 6 world major marathons.
