Philosophy

Thomas Keller (a great chef) was asked once, ” What is the fundamental job of a chef? He answered, It’s to nurture people”. I believe this to be true in COACHING or quite frankly in your training lifestyle. I always say, its never just one thing with someone, more to a person than you realize. Running is hard and can be a very personal journey. It’s hard and it takes discipline! But on the other side of that discipline is freedom! Freedom to show up for ourselves and become the best version of YOU.

Key Coaching Components to name a Few:

  • “Suffer Better” – Building the Athlete First is crucial. Moving Better means Better Efficient Running. Putting together pieces of Strength Training, Mobility, and Running. Then making the goal to be durable and strong to handle the load of your Running Goals.
  • “Always be Learning”- Being a student of Running and your fitness journey is vital for self reliance, adaptability, confidence, awareness
  • “Listen Right”- Listen to your body, Listen to Yourself, and Gain Mental Health and Toughness.

I believe in being creative, adaptable, collaborative and always keeping longevity in mind.

Trust the Process. Be Kind to Yourself. Remember your “Why”. Repeat

Coaching Experience

The Chapter of life I’m in now says the right path forward is to pursue coaching athletes. With now over 20 years of running I have decided to dedicate helping others stay injury free and enjoy running. I have coached many over the years in a broad range of distances. Coached High School Distance runners and Collaborated with Cross Country Program. But when you love something like running; you get to an age now where all you want to do is serve. Now I am working on my UESCA Ultra Coaching Certification and Endurance Strength and Conditioning.

About Me

Girl Dad. Family is everything now. Love anything Outdoors. Music and Movies are always playing. Cooking is my safe place and I enjoy hosting people in that way. I love having a good routine and a strong cup of coffee. Geek out usually on training and fitness books or content. Jack of all trades trying to master a few.

Big Influences

Getting Older you value a system; and running or a workout is where I feel most alive. My day gets anchored, my body is moving, and I feel the gritty freedom of that solitude. The influences of those who inspired me and enforce my why are: My daughter- to keep at it for the long haul. Girlfriend/Partner- My love, Ride or Die and my Being Biggest Supporter. Sister- Being my rock in the family. Friends: Andy and Ryan- always chasing down being better men and athletes. My college Coach Rich Weinhandl, the man never gets old and how I still haven’t experienced someone who cares more for their athletes. My Dad always told me, “you’re better when you are working out”. Training influences- all those Athletes and Coaches on a mission: prioritizing being injury free and making the strength, mobility connection to running and better quality of life.

Race History

I want to challenge myself and get in more upcoming races. Been working on more trail experience.

Personal Records

  • Mile- 4:23
  • 5k- 15:48
  • 8k- 25:55
  • 7miles- 39:03
  • Half marathon- 1:13
