Running Coach Description

As an Ogden area running coach, my background is in mountain trail running, obstacle course racing (OCR), and endurance sports. I live in Utah, where I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside (preferably finding vert). As a physical therapist, I’ve worked professional with Olympic skiers, collegiate runners, and recreational athletes of all backgrounds. I specialize in injury prevention, return-to-running, fueling education, and RED-S–aware coaching. As a coach, I help runners reach their short- and long-term goals while balancing a love for the trails/mountains. When I’m not running, I enjoy skiing, rock climbing, and spending time with my best friend (hubby) and little kiddo. Whether you’re new to running or seeking to race competitively, I’ll help you develop both endurance and speed so you can crush any distance on any terrain 💪 See you on the trails 🏔

Philosophy

I believe great training is built on consistency, sustainability, and individuality. Most runners improve by developing a strong aerobic base, layering in strategic intensity, and staying healthy enough to train year after year. My decisions are guided by evidence-based endurance science and balancing performance goals with life stress, recovery, and enjoyment. As a physical therapist, I take a proactive approach to injury prevention and biomechanics, helping athletes train confidently rather than cautiously.

Coaching Experience

I’ve coached over the past year for trail runners. As a physical therapist, I’ve worked professionally with Olympic skiers, collegiate runners, recreational runners and endurance athletes, athletes returning from injury, and pre/postpartum athletes.

About Me

I live in the mountain-filled backyard of Utah, where I spend as much time as possible outside—preferably gaining vert. When I’m not running trails, you’ll find me skiing, rock climbing, or adventuring with my wife and our little kiddo (future trail buddy). I love helping runners find their flow on dirt, rocks, and ridge lines. I’m fueled by curiosity, movement, and chocolate waffles—and firmly believe that running should make your life bigger, not smaller. Fun facts: I run long distances so I can eat more snacks & I run so I can nap harder.
