Running Coach Description

I coach runners of all experience levels, from first-time 5K runners to experienced marathoners, with personalized training that fits their goals, lifestyle, and schedule. As an RRCA-certified running coach and five-time marathoner, I believe the best training plans are the ones that adapt to the athlete, not the other way around. My coaching emphasizes consistency, injury prevention, strength training, and building confidence through sustainable progress.

Beyond coaching, I’m the founder of Club Connectée, a women’s wellness community in Montréal that brings people together through movement. I love collaborating with local coaches, studios, brands, and businesses to create welcoming spaces where people can connect, move, and try something new. Whether it’s through one-on-one coaching, a group run, or a community event, my goal is to help people build confidence, find joy in movement, and discover that running is about so much more than crossing a finish line.

Philosophy

My coaching is built on three core principles: show up, move with intention, and enjoy the ride. I believe consistency matters more than perfection, and that the best training plans are the ones that fit your life, not the other way around. Every athlete receives a personalized approach based on their goals, experience, and schedule, with an emphasis on sustainable progress, injury prevention, and building confidence. My goal isn’t just to help you reach the finish line—it’s to help you develop a lifelong, healthy relationship with running.

Coaching Experience

I’ve been coaching runners and strength clients for the past year, working with adults of all experience levels—from complete beginners preparing for their first 5K to experienced runners training for half marathons and marathons. In addition to one-on-one coaching through my own business, Rebecca Runs Montréal, I coach strength and fitness classes at EMPWR and Oxygen, helping clients build strength, confidence, and sustainable movement habits. My coaching is highly personalized, with regular plan adjustments based on each athlete’s progress, goals, and lifestyle.

About Me

I’m a five-time marathoner, RRCA-certified running coach, and the founder of Club Connectée, a women’s wellness community in Montréal built around movement and meaningful connection. One of my favorite parts of what I do is collaborating with local studios, coaches, brands, and businesses across the city to create events that bring people together through movement. I believe that movement is one of the most powerful ways to build confidence, friendships, and community. Outside of coaching, you’ll usually find me training for my next race, exploring new cafés, or planning my next community event. Whether I’m coaching an individual runner or organizing a group experience, my goal is always the same: to help people connect with themselves, each other, and their city through movement.

Big Influences

My coaching is influenced by the personalized approach of my own running coach, who taught me the value of adapting training to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all plan. I also draw inspiration from the Train Your Brain philosophy, recognizing that mental resilience is just as important as physical fitness. As an RRCA-certified coach and marathon runner, I combine evidence-based endurance training with a strong focus on consistency, injury prevention, strength training, and helping athletes enjoy the process of running for the long term.

Race History

I’ve completed five marathons, including the Montréal Marathon, Verdun Marathon, and Longueuil Marathon. I’ve also raced the Nespresso Half Marathon and Montréal Half Marathon, along with several 10Ks, including a 2nd-place finish at the Toronto Carnival Run 10K. My marathon personal best is 3:27. Beyond race results, one of the biggest influences on my running journey has been learning to train and compete with asthma. It’s challenged me to become more patient, adaptable, and in tune with my body. Instead of chasing a perfect training plan, I’ve learned the importance of adjusting based on how I feel, trusting the process, and focusing on long-term progress. Those experiences have shaped not only the athlete I am today, but also the coach I strive to be.
