Philosophy
Staying healthy is the #1 key to running and by doing so we can string together great efforts and mileage in order to consistently improve. At the highest level of running we can look at the specifics that make or break the last 100m of any distance race but for anyone out there who wants to improve at any distance can accelerate quickly through consistent and patient training.
The great saying about how Rome wasn’t built overnight is a real component with training. We start with the mileage like the starting pieces and the foundation of a home. Overtime, we slowly start adding layers and making it all periodically make sense throughout our journey! Let’s build the biggest house!
Coaching Experience
- I have coached friends, family, and kids throughout my life.
- I believe the biggest asset to training is the relationships you have with your peers and coaches
About Me
I enjoy cooking and wildlife. During my free time I will binge out to YouTube and Netflix. I have a mini rex rabbit named Panini and a golden retriever named Bailey. Life is great when you can cook with a movie on and your furry friends watch from afar thinking that you are cooking for them
Big Influences
Erin Howarth, my collegiate coach for 5 years. Former New Mexico assistant coach, led Women’s team to #13 in the country in 2009. Head Cross Country Coach at Eastern Illinois University from 2010-2025. Big believer in strength training and that miles will fuel your engine (you are the vehicle)
Race History
I have raced many times throughout my life spanning from road 5k’s to 10k’s in cross country and stepping down to the 800m on the track.
I have been in those kinds of races where talent and training can only take you so far and the rest relies on the mind and those little voices in your head telling you to stop or to just give up really take over but it only stays there if you let it. Gutting through the pain mentally takes all heart and I believe that having a strong mindset and confidence can get you past these stages.
