Philosophy

I believe that success as as a coach comes from coaching the athlete first before the distance. That means getting to know you, your experience, your goals, the demands on your time and energy (work, family, life) before curating a training plan that will be built on your unique circumstances. I believe in progression, moderation, adaptability and most importantly minimizing and mitigating injury!

Coaching Experience

I have had excellent success helping runners of all abilities and experience – some with as little as no experience running start their road racing journeys all the way to advanced runners seeking personal bests at various road distances. I am most recently coming off of 14 years in NCAA Division 1 Cross Country and Track & Field coaching where I helped the majority of my athletes achieve personal bests in multiple events as well as coach 9 new individual school records and multiple conference champions.

About Me

I am the proud wife of a U.S. Marine officer, proud mother of a one year old boy (with a little sister on the way!), former Division 1 collegiate coach and former professional athlete. While I don’ run at the same caliber as I once did, I see running as a lifetime endeavor with different seasons and am enjoying getting out the door when I can with my little guy. Back in the glory days, I was a 1500m semifinalist at the 2015 World Championship representing Team USA and had the amazing experience of competing at the 2016 US Olympic Team Trials. Post-professional career I was able to run a 1:20 Half Marathon and 2:57 Marathon (NYC). Happy to talk more about my experiences as an athlete if you want to hear about them!

Big Influences

My professional coach – Matt Centrowitz – is the biggest influence on my training philosophy and technical knowledge. I was also influenced by my HS coach – John Lovett – who taught me to love running first.

Race History

My race experience has a lot of variety ranging from multiple time Army Ten Miler champion to 1500m World Championship Semi-Finalist and lots in between. My experience is not as important as yours and your goals. Let’s see how I can help you make your own racing history!

It’s great to have someone as knowledgable and passionate as Kerri to talk to about how my running is going, motivation increased 🙂 !!!

Just over the span of 3 ish months, I worked up to my highest mileage ever and got PRs in the 800m up to the half marathon! If this matters to you, I am a pretty experienced runner who competed through college, so going into this I already had a solid understanding of basic training principles and a sense of what my body can handle in terms of training and recovery… and of course as the stats show, I still really improved under her guidance.

What has stood out to me the most working with Coach Kerri is how responsive she is– I have had a couple workouts that weren’t going so well that I texted her in the middle of and a few minutes later she was offering advice on whether I should amend the workout or keep going as planned. Kerri, you don’t need to do that, but thank you!!!!

I’ve been working with Coach Kerri for a few months now and the experience has been fantastic. She took the time to understand my goals, my schedule, and where I was at as a runner before putting together a plan that actually fits my life. The training is structured and intentional which makes it easy to stay motivated and trust the process.

Since starting with Kerri I’ve noticed real improvements in my running and over a short time saw massive improvements. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a coach

I’ve loved working with Kerri over the past few months. Her training is structured, purposeful, and truly individualized. The workouts are challenging but I go into them with confidence because I know she is thoughtful in planning them.

Kerri checks in after key workouts and at important points throughout the cycle so we can adjust together. I really appreciate having the long runs and race countdown mapped out well in advance, while individual weeks are planned more dynamically based on how the prior ones have gone.

After a few months of training with Kerri I am feeling really fit and excited to see how it all comes together for my marathon in April!

I’ve been with Coach Kerri for a few months now and she’s been nothing but amazing. She’s created a training plan that works with my schedule and is easy to connect with. She’s super cool and really cares about how training is going too. Coach Kerri will frequently check in with me to see how certain runs were and has helped me through some rough patches with my training as well. Whenever I get stuck with something or have a technical question, she’s quick to respond and provides insightful pointers. I’ve really enjoyed working with her thus far and looking forward to continuing to train under her guidance. Can’t recommend her enough!

I have worked with Kerri now for 3 months and I am very happy with her approach to coaching. She takes the whole person into account and is so very thoughtful in her approach to setting training goals. Because she provides regular feedback there is refinement and alignment happening which makes the plan and trainings very dynamic. Kerri takes the time to listen and she is very open to having an open dialogue on my experience with the training. I have felt fully invested in striving for the outcomes I want to achieve. I feel good about having set the right goals for me. The training plan meets me where I am on my running journey and, at the same time, it stretches me as a runner. I highly recommend Kerri as a running coach.

I’ve been working with Kerri since August 2025, and she has taken my running to an entirely new level. She strikes the perfect balance between pushing me outside my comfort zone and listening to where my body and life are at on any given week.
If you’re a runner of any level looking to add structure to your training, I couldn’t recommend Kerri more. She builds plans that are truly tailored to your goals—and they WORK. Not only have I gotten faster under her coaching, but my running feels smoother, stronger, and more confident than ever.

I started working with Kerri in August 2025 after feeling stuck with my running. She built a plan that fit my life and helped me finally reach my goal of running a full marathon. Kerri is incredibly supportive. She listens, adjusts when life gets messy, and always encourages me through the tough runs.

Since working with her, I have hit some of the best performances of my life and gained real confidence as a runner. She is the reason I fell back in love with the sport. Now we’re working towards me being faster and I can’t wait to see the the results and progress.

I have been working with Coach Kerri for only ten weeks, and I am already beginning to see results. She cares deeply about my goals and my experience after each workout. She is highly responsive and forward-thinking, which helps me manage my training and trust the process. She is supportive while pushing me to improve and take the necessary risks to grow. I know I am in good hands with Coach Kerri. I am confident that with her guidance, I will see the results in the upcoming NYC Marathon and future races.
