Description

Hi there! I’m a middle-of-the-pack runner with a deep passion for the sport and a commitment to helping others reach their potential. While I may not be winning races, I understand the challenges, triumphs, and frustrations that come with training and racing — and that’s why I’m so passionate about coaching. I know what it feels like to push through those tough moments, and what it feels like to take a victory lap, and I’m here to help others do the same in a way that’s relatable and supportive. I am a lifelong student of the sport, always seeking to grow and improve as a coach. I’m constantly reading, learning, and educating myself to provide the best guidance possible. For me, coaching is about more than just teaching my athletes about the science of running (though that is a huge part!); it’s about building a community where athletes feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to achieve their goals. Whether you’re just starting out or training for your next big race, I’m here to help you discover your full potential and enjoy the journey along the way.

SPECIALTIES

Are you ready to transform your running and achieve your dreams — healthy, injury-free, and with confidence? I specialize in helping new and middle of the pack runners reach their full potential with a focus on injury prevention, smart training, and sustainable progress. My coaching style centers around open, strong communication with each athlete, ensuring a tailored approach that adapts to your unique needs. I understand that every day brings its own challenges and adjustments, and I’m committed to guiding you through them with a flexible plan that prioritizes your well-being. Together, we’ll build the strength, endurance, and mental resilience you need to go the distance. Whether you’re just starting your journey or gearing up for race day, I’ll be by your side, ensuring every step you take is the right one. Let’s get you on the roads, healthy and strong!

Here are a few reasons we might make a great fit:

  • You want more than “just” a personalized training plan – you’re looking for a cheerleader, confidante, and an educator to be alongside you in your running journey
  • You want regular feedback and communication to discuss your progress and goals
  • You’re new to running and feel it is inaccessible to you – but you have lofty dreams and big goals
  • You like running – but sometimes you find yourself bored and unengaged, and want new ways to spice things up
  • You are a former athlete – sport has always come easy to you – but running feels oddly hard
  • You have been breaking into the sport for a little while, but you feel that you can’t relate to other runners
  • You are looking for help building your confidence, mental resiliency, and strength
  • You’ve worked with a coach in the past and you’ve felt like you’re “bothering” them with too many questions or by challenging their philosophy – in my cohort, we’re all about open dialogue!
  • You understand 90% of the general science of running, but hope to get a more granular understanding of the last 10%
  • You like running – but you can’t figure out what event is right for you or how to leverage your hard work, talent, and desires

PHILOSOPHY

Running is not just about becoming faster or stronger—it’s about cultivating a mindset of perseverance, patience, and joy. It teaches us that real success is not measured by any single moment, but by the cumulative impact of our consistent efforts. Every run, like every day in life, is an opportunity to stack another brick on the path toward a stronger, more fulfilled self. Perfection is not the goal—growth is. The journey, the effort, and the small victories—those are the rewards that matter most as your joy for the sport flourishes. This has led me to root all of my coaching in 4 key principles: run intentionally, run consistently, run honestly, and run with joy.

The Power of Intentional Training: Every step, every stride, every mile, represents the effort you invest. There are no shortcuts to success in running. The path to improvement is paved with determination and relentless hard, smart, and measured work. Each run has a purpose (believe it or not, the purpose rarely ever has to do with pace!) – and running to intentionally fulfill that purpose is where the magic happens.

Consistency: Like laying one brick at a time to build a strong structure, every run is a small yet vital step toward becoming a better version of yourself. The key to long-term success is consistency—which often requires deliberate decisions to make the long term habit sustainable. Small wins, compounded over time, create lasting transformation.

Honesty: Running demands honesty—honesty in assessing your physical limits, your progress, and your intentions. Being truthful with yourself allows for authentic growth, improvement, and self-discovery. Through honesty, you will learn to accept both your strengths and limitations, which allows you to chart a more sustainable and effective course.

Embracing the Joy of the Process: Running isn’t just about the destination—be it a race, a personal best, or a goal you’ve set. It’s about finding joy in the journey, the rhythm of your footsteps, the air in your lungs, and the mental clarity that comes with the discipline.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

I’m a newer coach looking to build my portfolio – so I’m that much more passionate about really getting off on the right foot helping others. Over the past 2 years, I coached my husband from couch to marathon and kept him healthy, uninjured, and most importantly – inspired – throughout a long build. Recently, I also coached a close friend of mine to run his first marathon (a resounding sub 4 race!) in Toronto. I’m constantly providing my friends and family with advice on how to start their running journey, and for those who have already started, how to take it to the next level.

In addition to constantly reading about training methodologies, I’m currently obtaining certification through RRCA and USATF. I am also mentored by an elite level coach.

ABOUT ME

When I’m not coaching, my husband and I are always on the hunt for our next favorite restaurant. Living in Queens, NY, has meant we have a world of cuisines at our fingertips! I’m also a coffee connoisseur – ordering fresh whole bean deliveries weekly to feed my love for coffee with a hot latte. Second to dogs, I love iguanas. When I’m not on the run, you can find me in the gym around 5 or so times a week working on pull-ups, pistol squats, and other eccentric movement patterns. I also work in state government affairs – so a huge part of my job means that I’m traveling across the country which has afforded me the opportunity to run in many exciting different places and state capitals! If you’re in my next travel city, let’s meet up for a jog!

BIG INFLUENCES

Cheesy as it sounds, my biggest running influences are those close to me and those who’s journeys I have an upfront, close, and personal view of. My cousin, a former collegiate track athlete, was my first ever sounding board when I took the sport up. I’ve loved learning from him and watching him continue to excel on the track outside of college and into the roads. I also take great inspiration from my coach, Brant Stachel (also on TRR!) who has shown me some of the healthiest ways to have a relationship with the sport of running while going through a trying comeback from injury. I’m inspired by my friends who go out and do the work each and every day, even when it isn’t glamorous – grinding out slow, easy volume, consistently and deliberately. Professionally, I’m a huge fan of Des Linden and Siffan Hassan. While their performance in peak shape is undoubtedly GOAT-ed, it’s their mental approach to the sport that motivates and inspires me.

RACING HISTORY

I’m a frequent flyer at the half marathon distance, having over 20 official half marathons under my belt. As it’s my favorite distance, I’ve really enjoyed racing the Staten Island Half Marathon each year – a very underrated race!

The NYC Marathon has a special place in my heart (as it was my first marathon) and I have long-term goals to complete at least 15 in my lifetime. I’ve also run smaller scale races, like the scenic and tranquil P’tit Train du Nord Marathon in Quebec.

Some of my other favorite races include the Brooklyn Mile, Fifth Avenue Mile, The ACLI Capital Challenge, and the Bronx 10 Miler!

PRs

  • Mile 5:57
  • 5k 21:17
  • 1/2 marathon 1:38
  • Marathon 3:45

I almost *always* PR in ~having fun.~
