Specialties

I am excited about working with beginner to intermediate runners who are chasing big goals. Whether that’s running your first 5k, moving up in distance to a longer race, hitting a new PR, or exploring the world of trails or ultras, I’d be thrilled to work with you!

Philosophy

My coaching philosophy centers around personalization, joy and longevity. I tailor every athletes training plan to their goals, experiences and lifestyle, and I provide timely and thoughtful feedback to help them group. I also prioritize creating a training plan that my athletes find fun and fulfilling. Enjoying the process of training not only helps keep an athlete motivated long term, but it helps that tap into their full potential.

Coaching Experience

I am a UESCA certified running coach that has coached athletes running 5ks through ultramarathons.

About Me

Running is a huge part of my life – it brings me joy, motivation and it is my favorite way to challenge myself and grow. I started running when I was 11 years old and I ran my first half marathon when I was 12 years old. In college, I ran my first marathon and I was hooked! During 2020, I created a “marathon a month challenge” for myself. I ran an unofficial marathon every month, and I found so much joy and passion along the way. Now, I find myself running ultramarathons, with my furthest distance so far being 100k. I have my eyes set on running 100 miles, and I’m excited about the journey I’ll take to get there. Outside of running, I’m a passionate hiker, backpacker, climber, backcountry skier and occasionally a triathlete. I prioritize incorporating all my hobbies into my training because it helps me feel grounded, fulfilled and excited to move each and every day.

Big Influences

My biggest influence is my dad. He helped me train for my very first half marathon and has helped me grow my mental strength, consistency, and resilience ever since. The lessons he taught me about showing up, believing in myself, and pushing through tough moments have shaped how I approach both my own running and my coaching philosophy.

Race History

I’ve participated in many events, but some of my favorites include:

  • Arnold Mills 4 Mile Road Race
  • Blessing of the Fleet
  • Ironman 70.3 Steelhead
  • Ironman 140.6 Lake Placid
  • Bubba’s Backyard Ultra
  • Last Skier Standing
  • Vermont 100k

Certifications

  • UESCA Running Coach

Some recent results include:

  • 2022 Ironman 140.6 – 16:23:26

  • 2024 Last Skier Standing – 7 hours, 20 miles
  • 2024 Bubba’s Backyard Ultra – 14 hours, 49 miles

Ashley is an awesome coach – she is super positive, very encouraging, and a lot of fun to work with. She programs me custom running workouts, and works with me to build a weekly running plan that offers the flexibility I need to also work in my other activities (hiking, climbing, and lifting). Ashley has a lot of knowledge to share as well as tons of experience as an ultramarathoner. I also love that she posts programs 2-3 weeks out and builds plans around what i have going on in life. I’ve also set my 10k PR while working with her!!!
