PHILOSOPHY

I love coaching distance runners and have done so professionally for over 30 years. I keep it simple and feel that I do a great job working with each person individually because everyone is different! While I no longer compete, I still run 4 to 6 days per week. I ran competitively at the scholarship level in college and ran for the best high school coach in the country which strongly influenced my career path as a collegiate coach.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

30+ years of highly successful collegiate cross country and track & field coaching at the scholarship and non-scholarship level. Have coached National Champions for men & women from the 800 to the 10k as well as in cross country. Have also coached 4 national championship teams. I have worked with highly successful high school runners (state champions, NXN qualifiers, etc.) in the summer. I have worked with amateur and professional runners from 800 to 10k who have qualified for the U.S.A. Track & Field National Championships as well as post collegians still looking to compete at a high level. On the side, for fun, I’ve coached friends or friends children training for civil service testing such as military or police/fire running tests as well as folks training for their first 5k to marathon.
