SPECIALTIES

My specialties including working with anyone from beginner runners to advanced that are training for both trail and road events. I enjoy adding strength training to complement my runners training and have experience coaching individuals that are currently rehabilitating injuries.

PHILOSOPHY

Motivation – I believe that everyone can be successful towards their training goals if they are motivated to do so. My goal as a coach is to provide my athletes all the tools and resources that they need to achieve their goals. I ask my athletes to remain motivated through the journey and use all the resources that they are provided. We are a team through this journey and we will work together to achieve running success.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been coaching runners for a total of 8 years and am a certified UESCA running coach, ACE Personal Trainer, and Army Master Fitness Trainer. I have coached youth athletes, high school and college Cross Country and Track athletes, and adults that were beginners as well as advanced. I guided individuals with injuries through rehabilitative exercises in order to assist with their return to training. I have coached runners in distances that range from 800m all the way to the marathon. Additionally, I have just completed my second year as a high school High Jump coach; having the privilege to learn a new event and expand my knowledge. My athletes have various different goals that include: achieving a new PR to qualifying for a big race. Along with coaching my own athletes, I currently self coach myself and develop my own training programs.

ABOUT ME

I have been a runner for over 15 years and am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. I am a member of the United State Army and have completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. I am a father of 3 and a husband.

My running journey began at a young age when I was in Junior High School, I decided to join the track team as something to do in my spare time. I began as a sprinter competing in the 400m. During a summer I decided to sign up for my very first 5k road race and fell in love with the world of distance running. I then transitioned over to competing in Cross Country and long distance track. My running took me through the rest of high school and to the college level where I competed until joining the United States Army in 2012.

For me, running is my stress relief for the day and a way for me to decompress after a longs day work. I enjoy running and challenging myself to see what I can achieve and improve upon. My current running goals for myself is to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

BIG INFLUENCES

All of my high school and college coaches that helped develop and guide me to become the runner I am today.

Cameron has been great at building a running schedule that provides workout variety and has helped me improve my endurance and speed. I’ve been working with him for a few months and my pace has increased each month; I’ve also set some personal records.

He’s great at adapting a workout schedule based on feedback on how my body feels; if I’m feeling discomfort or sore he’ll scale back the intensity appropriately.

His response time is great and he answers all my questions.

I had never worked with a running coach before, but Cameron is awesome! He provided really clear instructions and kept me on track to reaching my goals. I was hoping to gradually increase my mileage each week and it is incredible how fast I began to see progress. Whether you’re experienced or a beginner, I definitely recommend working with Coach Cameron if you’re looking for a running coach.
