Philosophy

I believe great coaching is about more than mileage, paces, and workouts. It starts with understanding the person behind the athlete—their goals, schedule, stress, recovery, and life outside of running—and creating training that is both challenging and sustainable.

Because no two runners are the same, I take a personalized approach to coaching. Whether an athlete is chasing a PR, training for their first race, or simply looking to become more consistent, my goal is to meet them where they are and create a plan that fits their current season of life.

I believe running should feel empowering, not overwhelming. Through clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a balance of structure and flexibility, I help athletes understand the purpose behind their training, build confidence, and make sustainable progress.

Ultimately, my goal is to help runners become stronger, healthier, and more confident while enjoying the process and building a lasting relationship with the sport.

Coaching Experience

I’ve been coaching distance runners for just over a year after being inspired by the impact coaching had on my own running journey. Since then, I’ve worked primarily with adult runners of all experience levels, from first-time racers to athletes training for half marathons, marathons, and ultramarathons.

As a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach and a master’s student studying sport psychology, I combine evidence-based training with a personalized approach, emphasizing communication, adaptability, and long-term development to help athletes reach their goals with confidence.

About Me

Outside of coaching, I’m a lifelong learner, endurance athlete, and someone who loves exploring new experiences. Running has been a major part of my life, from chasing my own goals on the roads and trails to learning from the many challenges and lessons that come with the sport.

I’m passionate about the mental side of endurance performance and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in sport psychology, which has strengthened my belief that confidence, mindset, and self-awareness are just as important as the physical training.

When I’m not running or coaching, you can usually find me reading with a good cup of coffee, hiking, exploring new places, or spending time outdoors. I’m always looking for opportunities to experience new places and chase adventure. One of my proudest travel accomplishments is visiting all seven continents!

I love that running connects people from all different backgrounds, and one of my favorite parts of coaching is getting to know each athlete’s story and helping them discover what they’re capable of—both in running and beyond.

Big Influences

My coaching style has been shaped by the coaches who have guided me throughout my own running journey, especially my longtime coach, Jon Green, whose individualized approach and emphasis on athlete development inspired me to pursue coaching myself.

I’m also influenced by training systems that emphasize consistency, gradual progression, and preparing athletes to perform at their best while staying healthy. I draw from evidence-based endurance training principles, along with lessons learned through my own experiences as an athlete, to create training plans that are both purposeful and practical for each runner.

Race History

Some of my most memorable running experiences have come through racing the Abbott World Marathon Majors. These races have been about much more than the miles—they’ve allowed me to explore new cities, experience different cultures, and share the start line with runners from around the world.

Each major has reminded me why I love this sport: the dedication behind the training, the energy of race day, and the incredible community that surrounds running. These experiences have taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of embracing the process, not just the outcome.

My journey through the Marathon Majors has deepened my appreciation for the many reasons people run, and those lessons continue to shape how I coach and support athletes through their own goals.
