PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is to break training down into manageable pieces that promote consistency and lay a strong foundation for success. I consider each element—training, nutrition, strength and conditioning, speed work, hills, rest, and recovery—and create a personalized plan that aligns with your goals and fits your schedule. I value collaboration with my athletes and encourage open communication and feedback. Much of my inspiration comes from my own coaches, and I believe we can all learn from each other’s experiences. Ultimately, my top priority is to ensure that the joy of running remains intact. While some days and workouts may be challenging, as long as we enjoy what we’re doing, our consistency and effort will thrive.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

I’ve worked with runners of various backgrounds and experience levels (everything from training for their first race to a marathon PR). I enjoy the satisfaction of helping others reach their goals and enjoy working together to problem solve everything from race day nutrition to pacing strategy.

ABOUT ME

I am an avid runner living in Lakewood, Colorado. I love finding new trails, running with friends, taking on new courses and terrains all of which help me keep the excitement and joy of running alive. I’ll race anything from 5k to 50k to 100 milers and even the occasional beer mile. If it sounds like fun or at least “type two” fun, I’m in. Outside of running, I love hiking, working in the garden, cooking and of course eating lots!

BIG INFLUENCES

The running coaches I’ve had, both past and present, have been instrumental in my journey. Each one has shared valuable lessons about the sport, significantly shaping my understanding and approach to running.

RACING HISTORY

I love running anything from 5k to 100 milers. My goal is always to keep the fun in running and find a race that excites and challenges me. Over the years I have qualified for the Boston Marathon twice, with my best Boston finish in 2:52 in spring of 2024. I am lucky enough to have been able to compete in the Leadville Trail 100 finishing in 24:24.
