Philosophy

My role is to build a road map to your goals, keep you healthy while doing it, and make you a better all-around runner in the process. I use athlete feedback on how the body is feeling to guide the training and adjust workouts as necessary. “Train hard recover harder”

Coaching Experience

About a decade of coaching at the NCAA level. I have coached a number of conference champions and All-Americans, including the 2024 NCAA Division 2 national runner up in the women’s 10K. I coached myself for a number of years post-collegiately to some PR’s as well.

About Me

I grew up in Cleveland Ohio, lived in Detroit, Michigan for 4 years, and now live in Seattle, Washington. I’ve been here for 2.5 years now and love the PNW. I like to go paddle boarding in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. Anything that keeps me active, outside, and hanging out with friends is fun! I also play guitar so if you are a music lover we will have a lot to talk about.

Big Influences

The 3 coaches that have influenced my training system the most are Tom Scott (now at University of North Dakota), Steve Magness (formerly University of Houston), and Boo Schexnayder (formerly LSU).

Race History

As an athlete, I was primarily focused on the middle distance events (800-mile). I always loved racing at championship meets. Running for your teammates when the stakes are highest was my favorite. I always felt at home racing on the track. I decided in the summer of 2020 to see what I could run for a 5K. I reached out to some friends who I knew were in good shape and got them to all sign up for the Chagrin Falls turkey trot that fall so we could make it a competitive race amongst each other. I ran 15:47 for third place.
