Running Coach Description
I coach athletes of all ages looking to run a faster or longer road race! I have had success coaching myself and others in the 5k, 10k, 10-Miler, Half-Marathon, and Marathon.
I am also well-versed (through personal experience) in injury recovery, proper fueling, and load management during training. I am highly responsive with my athletes for this exact reason, since properly communicating the feeling and effort-level of a workout, as well as any activities that may inhibit recovery, can be the key to injury prevention and training optimization!

Specialties
I specialize in 5k to Marathon road races, but have had success training for and running trail marathons and multi-stage marathon relays such as the Pike’s Peak Ascent and Blue Ridge Relay.
Philosophy
My core training philosophy is that rest, recovery, and fueling are just as important as running itself.
Coaching Experience
I had been involved in youth coaching programs throughout high school, given successful advice to friends and family members who were training for their first road races (5k-Marathon) and/or recovering from injury, and I have coached myself with success to a 2:23 marathon.
About Me
Outside of running, I am a full-time aerospace engineer. I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, and traveling to new and interesting places. I have a growing interest in reading and writing; I sometimes study foreign languages; and I have two cats named Newton and Kelvin.
Big Influences
I believe that almost all training philosophies have merit and a time/place for their uses. In my own training I’ve had success constructing plans using the aerobic base building of Lydiard, the 80/20 rule for week-week planning, Hanson’s method of training through cumulative fatigue, and using “intuitive” perceived exertion as a guide for effort before looking to other metrics like heart rate and power output.
Race History
My most memorable race was the 2026 Boston Marathon. It was the culmination of my second-ever marathon training block in which I drastically improved my training structure, fueling strategy, and overall fitness. The result was not only a faster time (2:45->2:23) but also a more enjoyable race in which I avoided hitting the wall, negative split the race, and ran two back-to-back half-marathon PRs.
