Philosophy
Hello fellow trail lover! I love this sport and am passionate about helping other runners transition to trail and ultra distance and fuel well. Anyone, regardless of their busy life or skill level, can embark on the journey of ultra distance trail running and succeed. I understand the constraints of work and family commitments and limited time availability. I build training plans aligned to your current fitness level, goals, and available time. I strive to gradually challenge you while preventing burnout or injury, always allowing enough rest and recovery to adapt and make gains. I also place a strong emphasis on managing stress and incorporating proper nutrition, hydration and fueling. As endurance athletes, food is our secret weapon to better performance and recovery.
I use Final Surge to track your progress and adjust training based on your performance data and feedback. This enables me to make informed decisions to guide each week of your training journey. My coaching involves regular communication, feedback, and adjustments as needed. I am here to answer questions, provide motivation, and celebrate your achievements.
Coaching Experience
I have been coaching for 5 years, first as a high school conditioning coach for girls sports and later individuals. I have also worked as a sports nutritionist to both adolescents and adults in both group and individual settings.
About Me
I live in Southern California at the base of the Santa Monica mountains. Trail running is my primary sport but I am also an avid rock climber and use it to keep my core and upper body strong. I love escaping to the Sierra Nevada for solo running trips or backpacking when I can.
Big Influences
David and Megan Roche, the SWAP team, Jason Koop, all the GOATs of our sport
Race History
I am a recovered triathlete who has found my place in the trail running community. I have completed 50k-100m and have raced mostly in California and Utah.
