Running Coach Description
As a Virginia Beach running coach, I coach runners who want more than mileage — athletes who want strength, resilience, and purpose behind their performance.
As a Marine Corps veteran and Fit Body Boot Camp owner, I specialize in whole-athlete development: integrating strength, endurance, mindset, and nutrition into one complete system for sustainable performance.
From first-time 50Ks to 200+ mile ultras, I help athletes build the structure, toughness, and discipline to finish strong — and carry that same strength into every part of life.

Philosophy
I coach the complete athlete — body, mind, and discipline. My approach combines structured endurance programming with strength, nutrition, and mindset development so training builds more than fitness — it builds resilience and self-mastery. Every plan is adaptive to the athlete’s life, recovery, and mission — not just their mileage. My background in leading high-performing teams shapes how I coach: direct, accountable, and focused on excellence. The goal isn’t simply to finish a race, but to become the kind of person who thrives under pressure and sets the standard for others.
I am in this for the long haul with you. I am here to help you grow and achieve your wildest dreams.
Coaching Experience
I’m a Marine Corps Infantry Officer veteran with over a decade of experience developing elite performers — from Marines to endurance athletes. As an Instructor at the Marine Corps Martial Arts & Fitness Center of Excellence, I trained leaders in physical readiness, mindset, and resilience under pressure.
Today, I own and operate a Fit Body Boot Camp, where I lead athletes in advanced strength, conditioning, and nutrition systems built for sustainable performance. Through my private online coaching, I help runners evolve from mileage-only programs to full-spectrum endurance and strength development designed for long-term success.
About Me
I’m a U.S. Marine veteran, ultra-endurance athlete, husband, and father of two. The same discipline, structure, and persistence that shaped my military and endurance background also drive how I lead, parent, and coach. I believe training is about far more than running — it’s about building the mindset and habits that carry into every part of life.
Whether you’re chasing your first 50K or preparing for a 200+ mile ultra, I’ll help you build lasting strength, structure, and confidence — not just to finish the race, but to become the kind of person who never quits.
Big Influences
Kerry Ward – His raw, unfiltered approach to ultrarunning reminds me that true endurance is about expression, struggle, and presence — not perfection.
Alex Hutchinson – Author of Endure, his work connects science and psychology, showing how belief and physiology shape performance — a foundation of my coaching.
Ryan Holiday – Through modern Stoicism, he reinforces that discipline and perspective are everything. I apply those same principles to help athletes convert challenge into growth.
David Goggins – His relentless mindset shaped my belief that grit is built, not born. His example influences how I teach athletes to stay composed, consistent, and capable under pressure.
Together, these influences define my coaching philosophy: a blend of data, discipline, and durability — training the athlete’s mind and body to perform as one.
Race History
I’m currently preparing for the Arizona Monster 300, a 300-mile desert ultra that represents everything I coach — discipline, durability, and the will to keep moving forward when comfort runs out.
I’ve completed multiple trail and mountain ultras from 50K to 100 miles, including a Top 20% 100-mile performance, along with multi-day 100-mile fastpacking and endurance adventures that tested both logistics and mental toughness. On the road, I’ve raced from 10K to marathon distance, including a 1st-place 10K finish.
Before ultrarunning, I competed in powerlifting, earning 1st place in my college weight class, and achieved multiple top finishes in elite Marine Corps schools and assessments — experiences that shaped how I train and lead today.
Every race and event has reinforced one truth: success in endurance isn’t about talent — it’s about structure, mindset, and commitment to the process.
