Beginners looking to start running or complete their first road race

PHILOSOPHY

My overriding philosophy is to get and keep people loving running.

My goal is to help runners who are just starting out or those who are seasoned runners but looking to take it to the next level crush their goals AND enjoy the process!

I believe in consistency over perfect and that every runner is unique and needs a plan to meet their individual needs.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been with TeamRunRun since May 2022. While I’m fairly new to being a coach, I have 20 years of experience as a recreational runner under my belt. When you work with me, you will get:

  • A plan that is developed with your goals and your needs in mind.
  • Regular communication
  • Support, encouragement & motivation along the way
  • Someone that listens to your needs and your feedback

ABOUT ME

I am originally from NY but currently live and work in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I am a huge animal lover, a book worm, and an avid traveler. I started running when I was in college because I was looking for a way to exercise and I understood running. Since then I’ve fallen in love with the sport and am always looking to learn and improve. Outside of running and coaching, I work full time as a speech-language pathologist.

BIG INFLUENCES

My own running coach has been a huge influence on me and has helped me shape my own personal philosophy when it comes to coaching and working with athletes.

I admire many of the elites out there (Kara Goucher, Keira D’Amato, Des Linden, Eliud Kipchoge) and think their accomplishments are admirable, but to me it’s the average runner who gets out there day in and day out and keeps working towards their goals that really inspires me.

RACING HISTORY

I went through a period where I was constantly completing road races (mostly 5ks and 10ks) and then a long stretch where I haven’t really done many. I’m currently finding my way back and hoping to strike a balance between doing it all and doing nothing.

Just recently, I completed my first marathon. I ran the Boston Marathon as a charity runner and helped raise over $10,000 towards the school that I work for.

My philosophy is that you don’t need to race to be a runner. You can just do it for the enjoyment!
