Specialties
I specialize in distance training and love to work with athletes who have goals ranging from a first 5K all the way up to seasoned ultramarathon runners! I love working with athletes to develop personalized plans for speed & endurance training, daily & race nutrition, strength training, and time/priority management. I help athletes focus on developing consistency and balance to achieve their goals – no matter how big or small!
Philosophy
I believe in meeting an athlete at their current level & stage of life. We work together through frequent communication to develop a consistent, individualized training routine with a focus on your specific goals. I believe that every runner deserves to have BIG goals and with the right support system and planning those goals can be achieved!
Coaching Experience
I have worked with individuals of varying capabilities in 1:1 training environments with goals ranging from leaving a sedentary lifestyle to return to run after a heart attack. I have provided pre-race consultations for runners moving up into the ultramarathon distances with the goals of planning key training weeks, pre-race and race nutrition, race gear, and general race strategy.
About Me
I am a wife, mother of one amazing pole vaulter, one amazing springboard diver, and two lazy dogs! I worked as an Exercise Physiologist for over 13 years before completely changing my career and learning a completely new set of skills! I have owned and operated a Screen Printing, Embroidery, and Promotional Product company for over 8 years now!
I was a hurdler in high school and moved from Canada to Missouri to pursue my education and compete in Division 1 Track & Field. I used to think a 20 minute jog was a long run…now I specialize in 12-hour, 100 mile, and 24-hour races! I have completed 23 ultramarathons, 5 marathons, 3 Half-Ironman events, and 1 full Ironman!
My most proud moment as a runner was my first time representing Canada at the World 24-hour Championships in Taipei, Taiwan in 2023. Running with my national flag for the last 20 minutes of the race and feeling the support of all of my family, friends, and running community was something I’ll never forget!
Big Influences
I was highly influenced by my Dad growing up to be disciplined and “put in the work”. He played the sport that he loved, hockey, up until the last few months of his life and always impressed me with his dedication and athleticism. My many amazing coaches through high school, college, and as an adult ultrarunner have all made their own impact on how I approach training, racing, and my general lifestyle.
Race History
I started distance running in 2012 with the goal of regaining fitness after having 2 kids. My initial goal was a 5K, which quickly progressed to a half-marathon, then a marathon, a few triathlons, and then I fell in love with ultramarathons.
