SPECIALTIES

I work with runners of all levels, from beginner to elite, and distances ranging from 5K to marathons. Additionally, I am a licensed Physical Therapist as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. I will work with you to develop an individualized training plan that fits your lifestyle. Also, if you’re recovering from an injury, I can work with you to create an appropriate return to run program so that you can get back on your feet. An additional service that I offer is a video running analysis, which allows me to assess your running mechanics so that you can avoid future injuries and run pain-free.

PHILOSOPHY

As a Physical Therapist and USA Track and Field certified coach I believe in evidence based practice along with listening to your body. You and I are a team so I want to have open communication and encourage asking questions. This will allow me to develop a unique training plan that will meet your needs and fit your busy schedule, while most importantly – helping you achieve your goals.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked with many runners of all ages and skill level during their rehabilitation following an injury. I spend a great deal of time working on running mechanics and strengthening in order to prevent any future injuries.

ABOUT ME

I am a passionate runner and coach with the objective of helping runners achieve their goals and have fun in the process. I have participated in races spanning from 100 meters to marathons, but my passion is running marathons. My current goal is to run 50 marathons in 50 states.

As a Physical Therapist I have worked with hundreds of runners, weekend warriors, collegiate athletes, and professional athletes. I have given a number of lectures and presentations on running mechanics. Prior to becoming a coach and PT I worked as a sports reporter covering a wide range of sporting events including the NFL, NBA, NHL, and Premier League.

Some of my hobbies include hiking, cycling, snowboarding, and spending time with my wife and highly energetic dog Tito.

BIG INFLUENCES

A number of people have had an influence on my coaching including Jack Daniels, David and Megan Roche, Christopher McDougall, high school track coaches, and physical therapy school professors.
