PHILOSOPHY

I believe that every person, no matter where they are in life can be a runner. My main approach is to meet athletes where they currently are, help create achievable goals for themselves and provide training that will help them both achieve goals and push themselves further than they may have believed possible. Every runner is unique in terms of lifestyle, schedule, and previous running experience and my goal is to cultivate training programs that fit the individual, rather than forcing an individual to fit into one training plan.

As a professional runner myself I understand the importance of recovery between hard sessions and giving your body the necessary rest it needs to chase after big goals! I hope my training and passion towards this sport helps people enjoy the process of becoming the best version of yourself, not just in running but in life. Whether you are just getting started in the sport of running or you are looking for guidance/training to push yourself towards bigger goals, I am here to help and cannot wait to get started!

COACHING EXPERIENCE

Besides being a professional athlete for the past 2 1/2 years, and running in the NCAA, I have helped coach others for the past one to two years. Mainly the age groups of adults to young adults,

ABOUT ME

I am currently a professional Nike middle distance runner, that personally specializes in the 800 meters. I am one of four girls in my family and have a big extended family. Growing up, I played many different sports but loved soccer and played on a travel team. I played soccer along with running all the way up until I went to college. Playing soccer, while running, led me to love the sport of running more. It helped shape the way I trained, and showed there are so many different paths to achieving one’s goals, both conventional and unconventional. Growing up, I ran with my older sister and friends, which taught me that running can be fun. By having the right community of people, proper guidance, and balance with all other aspects of one’s life , training does not have to be viewed as something you have to do, but viewed as something to look forward to and an outlet from the everyday life.

BIG INFLUENCES

Big influences would be the coaches that believed in me before I believed in myself. I found how invaluable it is to have somebody in your corner that wholeheartedly believes in your goals, and gives you the confidence to go after them yourself. In terms of physical running, I always say your easy days are easy so that you can push yourself to make the hard days hard. Being able to push yourself to new limits in training, will give you the confidence to push your limits in racing. No matter where you are in your running journey, I am here to help!

RACING HISTORY

Every race teaches a lesson, and every race has a positive outcome to be taken. No matter the outcome of the race, something is learned. Personally, racing in the NCAA taught me one of my most valuable lessons, which was how much fun racing is. My mindset going into races flipped from “let’s get this over with” to excitement and positivity, which in turn grew racing confidence. Racing at elite level races such as the Olympic Trials, and USATF Outdoor championships has taught me invaluable racing tactics, mindset preparation, and how to handle individual pressure along with outside pressure. I have learned to love racing and hope to help others view it in such a positive way as well.
