About Me
My name is Ryan Cox, a lifelong texan who lives in Austin. I have spent the last few years obsessing over the sport of ultrarunning. I have been participating in the sport in every possible way that I could and would love to help anyone who wants to experience it. The fondest memories I have are at races with those that are the closest to me. These races will strip you raw and surrounding yourself with those who want the best for you will only make you better!
Big Influences
I think I have been influenced by many coaches in the sport across all disciplines. I’ve read hundreds of articles on training theory from ultra specialists as Jason Koop, David Roche and Jack Kuenzle. I also try to keep up with what is going on in the track and field world with OAC and Dathan Ritzenhein, Mike Smith and anything and everything about the Norwegian Method. I don’t think there is a one size fits all approach to coaching and each individual is different. I’m here to find out what works best for you.
Race History
I have ran marathons and ultras up to 100 milers. Most recently I completed the Saddles 100 in Prescott, Arizona. I also took part on a Speed Project team that ran 335 miles from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 45 hours and 57 minutes (8:13 avg pace!). I have either crewed, paced or photographed at Ultras all around the country and truly live and breathe this sport.

Michael Schwertner –
I came in on short notice for a race event, and Ryan was a huge help. He’s done an excellent job improving my speed while still keeping recovery a top priority. His communication is top-tier—I always get quick responses, and he takes the time to clearly explain what I’m doing and why.
I have no doubt he’ll continue helping me crush my goals. Everything so far has been stellar. Highly recommend Ryan!
Jahazie Lopez –
Ryan’s been coaching me for 6 months now and he helped me train for my first 50mi ultra and I was able to crush it with his knowledge and help. We’re currently working on a 50k and 100mi for the end of this year 🤘🏽💪🏽
