SPECIALTIES

My goal is to help you achieve your running goals whether it’s running your first mile, a local 5k or completing a marathon. I coach primarily for road running and enjoy working with all levels of runners – first-time runners, seasoned runners looking to improve, and even runners starting back after pregnancy, injury or other reason.

PHILOSOPHY

Running should be one of the most accessible forms of exercise and stress relief. I customize my training recommendations to meet people where they are and with any past experience they might (or might not!) have. My goal is to keep your training productive and fun, giving you tools to succeed and adjust for life’s ever-changing obstacles.

ABOUT ME

I ran my first marathon at 15 years old, have raced in 13/50 states, work in run specialty, and have run a PR in every distance at 2 years postpartum (10k and ½ marathon unofficial and done in a workout).

BIG INFLUENCES

My biggest influences are the runners around me. New runners finishing their first 5k are a reminder of how good it feels to meet a new goal, all the way up to elite level runners who show what’s possible with continued dedication. Surrounding myself with a variety of runners helps keep me focused and appreciate the sport.

RACING HISTORY

My favorite race day: Chicago Marathon, (2024). The stars aligned that day and nothing went wrong. I only focused on what I could control and everything else fell into place. Overall just a positive race day experience.

My least favorite race day: My 2nd Marathon (2013). The race course terrain was not as described, which didn’t match the training I had done. It just made for a hard race day experience.

Must-do race: Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend races. Any of the distances! Great crowd support, well organized, nice swag.

  • 5k: 19:53 (5/4/2024) Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend 5k, Breaking a 17 year PR

  • 10k: 43:30 (6/17/2023) Greater Clarksburg 10k
  • Marathon: 3:21 (10/13/2024) Bank of America Chicago Marathon, 16 minute PR and first Boston Qualifying time
