Philosophy
I believe running should be both challenging and sustainable. My goal is to help athletes build consistency, confidence, and a positive relationship with the sport. Every runner is different, so I focus on adaptable training that meets athletes where they are and supports their individual goals, experience levels, and lifestyles. Above all, I want runners to develop habits that allow them to stay healthy, enjoy the process, and keep running for the rest of their lives.
Coaching Experience
I have experience working with athletes across a wide range of ages and backgrounds. I’ve assisted with middle school and high school running programs, supporting young athletes as they develop their skills and confidence in the sport. I’ve also worked more individually with runners, including helping my sister train and compete in the trail running scene and supporting my mom as she returned to running after a hip replacement. In addition to distance running, I’ve coached elementary school soccer, which helped me develop skills in teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and creating a positive environment for young athletes. Together, these experiences have helped me become a versatile coach who is comfortable working with athletes at many different stages of their athletic journey.
About Me
I’m a senior collegiate distance runner who loves everything from cross country and road racing to trail running. Running has taken me through a lot of highs and lows, including navigating injuries, which has taught me patience, resilience, and how to stay connected to the sport long-term. Outside of running, I’m majoring in Biomedical Engineering and pursuing a Master’s in Medical Device Development, which reflects my interest in how science, technology, and the human body intersect—especially when it comes to movement, performance, and injury prevention. When I’m not training or studying, I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring new trails, and connecting with other runners who share a love for the sport.
Big Influences
My mom instilled my love for running and shared the wisdom that running should be something you can enjoy for life, which strongly influences my focus on sustainable training. My sister introduced me to trail running, expanding my perspective on the sport and reinforcing the value of adaptability and exploring different ways to run. I’ve also been fortunate to have two mentors in the USATF community who helped guide me through challenges like COVID during my senior year of high school and injuries in college, shaping my belief in resilience, patience, and supporting athletes through both progress and setbacks.
Race History
I’ve been fortunate to compete at a high level in both high school and college. In high school, I was the California State Champion in the 3200m, a 2-time CIF San Diego Section champion in cross country and track, and placed top 5 three times at the California State Cross Country Championships. In college, I finished 12th at the Big West Cross Country Championships and have been a 4-time Big West Track & Field Championships qualifier in the 5K and 10K. Competing at these championship-level meets across high school and collegiate cross country and track has taught me a lot about preparation, racing strategy, and performing under pressure—experiences that continue to shape how I approach training and support other runners pursuing their goals.
