SPECIALTIES
Getting you a win! From walk to run all the way up to the ultra marathons and multi day events. I like to help you find the tools you love to be able to get the results you would like. When starting out I knew nothing than I put shoes on and go. From start to the finish line I’ll help find you resources and skills you will need to be successful. My favorite distance is the 50k but have things I love in every distance out there.
PHILOSOPHY
I see you as a winner no matter what!
Too many people put themselves down or doubt their abilities, but I will make sure you know your worth and believe in yourself to hit your goal.
Some love yoga, bikes, water sports, and these all can be added for cross training so you don’t have to not show up due to not wanting to do the day’s work.
You have to wake up every day knowing what you choose to do today will get you wherever you want to be tomorrow. I need you to do the work and keep me in the loop. I am always available for you!
COACHING EXPERIENCE
In the past martial arts years coaching included both little ones and adults getting you quality training and a better way of life through weight control, discipline, and self control. This has continued into running coaching as a volunteer with the local running group for the half and full marathon. After 1 year with the road team I jumped over to the trail side still running both sides I find the cross terrain is very helpful with speed and strength. From 10k to 50k training it has been great to not only coach for speed but distance as well. As a coach I am here for you for any needs you have that are going to help you win. This win could be a medal it could be a distance pr or it could be just getting put there. I like to find the wins in every day but shoot strait and can give you guidance in the form you like best.
ABOUT ME
I am a very fun loving person I would be a hippie in another world but I hate not matching. I live in San Antonio and have lived in Texas most of my life. Married 10 years no little ones but 5 fur babies 💕 and some fish. I love music and have a strong Christian based belief. I work as a manager in retail so I know time constraints as well.
BIG INFLUENCES
Courtney Dauwalter, Jim Walmsley, and Camille Herron are my top favorite in the running world. I am amazed that all 3 have different training methods and backgrounds but win all the time. You have track stars running for 100 miles plus at 5 minutes per mile paces and women outrunning men and then Jim beating everyone in the US and needing to go to Europe to win even more.
I take a lot of tips on mindset from these three and use there past and current training methods to help distance runners on loading and find the Galloway method works best for any intervals needed or just getting going on walking and/or running.
RACING HISTORY
I started out 4 years ago with a local walking group not knowing if I could even make it around the block anymore. After a few months I got brave and wanted to run. So I joined a local running group and overhead another runner say they had already done 30 miles. This was 4am in the morning and I found out what Ultra running was and that the people were real and I never went back. I’ve raced local races from 5k to marathons and 100+ miles. Even went to Leadville, Colorado in 2022 for the 100 miler. This year I look forward to 250 miles as a distance PR. My favorite race to run has been the Rocky Horror course here in San Antonio which was the Alamo ultra in the past years. This course has lots of hills and lots of speed going down making it super fun and hard. Of course the history of Leadville 100 and the race itself is incomparable which I didn’t die and saw more of it. This leads me to dnfs they happen we learn and we move on. Don’t be afraid to have this happen it is sometimes needed to grow. Myself personally I even love to crew and work aid stations to better understand how I can race even better. Most races I’ve done have been in Texas both road and trails.
