SPECIALTIES

I coach runners and triathletes of all levels from beginners to sub-elites with a focus on personalizing the process to help you train smarter, stay healthy, and race with purpose. Whether your goal is finishing a 5K, chasing a PR, qualifying for Boston, or stepping onto an international start line, I’ll meet you where you’re at and guide you forward.

With expertise across road, trail, track, and triathlon, I build each athlete’s training with an eye on performance, mental resilience, and long-term health. My background as a strength coach, massage therapist, and psychotherapist helps shape a well-rounded, holistic approach, because a happy, healthy athlete is a fast one.

Runners typically come to me when:

  • Cookie-cutter plans haven’t delivered results
  • Injuries or burnout are derailing progress
  • They’ve hit a plateau and want to break through
  • They want structure and feedback but lack local coaching
  • They’re aiming for elite or sub-elite performance

With me, you can expect:

  • Weekly personalized plans (updated every 7 days)
  • Strategic recovery and injury prevention built in
  • Performance tips for fueling, racing, and mindset
  • 24-hour response time + unlimited email/text support
  • Access to a WhatsApp athlete community and newsletter

I don’t believe in mass plans or one-size-fits-all spreadsheets. My job is to understand your unique training profile and adjust week to week so you’re progressing, not guessing.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe the best results come from consistent effort, clear communication, and a smart, sustainable plan. Great coaching isn’t about yelling splits or trendy workouts, it’s about helping you find the next right step and committing to that process.

I see myself as your guide, your sounding board, and your co-pilot. The athletes I work with succeed not because of a magic formula, but because they stick with smart systems, learn to trust their training, and build confidence through execution.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

I’ve coached full-time for 15+ years, working with:

  • 25+ athletes who have represented their country
  • 150+ Boston Marathon qualifiers
  • Runners at all six World Major Marathons
  • 300+ athletes achieving lifelong running goals for the first time

My experience spans coaching at the high school, collegiate, professional and national team level, mentoring under some of the top coaches in North America, and guiding recreational and elite athletes to their biggest breakthroughs.

As a first-time marathon runner, I couldn’t have asked for a better coach than Brant. His guidance has been phenomenal! Every week, he creates a custom plan that fits my progress perfectly and takes the time to answer all my questions, helping me learn the ins and outs of running. What started as a daunting goal now feels completely achievable. I highly recommend Brant to any runner who wants to level up with smart, personalized coaching.

Brant’s coaching has been everything for me. Rebuilding my lost running base once felt impossible, but he breaks it into simple, doable steps. After years of running, you’d think I could just piece it together myself — but I couldn’t. I needed real guidance.

Running is how I experience life. My confidence comes from knowing I earned it because I trained. Losing that base after work stress and life changes left me adrift. I either pushed too hard or stalled out. Brant steadied me. We’ve gone from a few scattered runs to 4 solid runs a week, and I’m moving toward 5 (and beyond). He listens — weaving in weights, biking, and swimming when I want them — so the plan feels like mine, not generic. It’s working: I can feel myself coming back, and I know I’ll race again.

There’s no gimmick here, just smart, consistent work. When overnight shifts or long workdays leave me fatigued, Brant adapts the plan instead of pushing me past my limits. That flexibility makes me trust the process even more.

I also value how deeply he takes sport psychology. Through his podcast I’ve learned that my own “feel of the sport and self in it” aligns with his philosophy, and I’ve read and reread many of the books he references. It’s reassuring to have coaching that connects body, mind, and training.

If you’re busy with work, unable to coach yourself, or lost trying to follow someone else’s workouts, I cannot recommend Brant highly enough. I look forward to racing under his guidance, and it is always fun to see his own or his team’s racing achievements.

I wholeheartedly recommend Brant as a triathlon coach! His unique blend of mental sports coaching and triathlon expertise helped me achieve an IRONMAN PR and qualify for the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona!

What sets Brant apart is his ability to tailor training programs to fit even the most unpredictable schedules. As a single mom of three working a demanding shift schedule, I thought training for endurance events would be impossible. But Brant worked with me to create a personalized plan that accommodated my busy life.

His background in mental sports performance is a game-changer, especially for endurance events that require equal parts physical and mental toughness. With Brant, you get the best of both worlds – expert coaching and mental preparation.

If you’re looking for a coach who understands the demands of endurance training and can help you overcome any obstacle, look no further than Brant. I’m grateful for his guidance and support, and I’m confident you will be too!

I’ve been working with Brant for 2.5 years, and in that time he has seen me through not only many races, but also many life transitions. Working with Brant feels like working with a friend who holds you accountable, keeps you honest, and always has your best interest at heart.

As a former track athlete returning to the sport in my 30s with something to prove, I wasn’t sure what my journey would look like. Brant has been a huge support in that return – pushing me when I needed it, reminding me to give myself grace when I needed it, and helping me grow not just as an athlete, but as a person.

Under his guidance I ran my first marathon and qualified for Boston, set personal bests across every distance, and, most importantly, built consistency and confidence in myself and in this sport. He even inspired me to become a coach myself.

I can’t recommend Brant highly enough for anyone looking for a coach who truly cares about their athletes and knows how to balance the push with the pause.

I’ve been working with Brant for a while now in preparation for a race in the fall and could not recommend a coach enough!!

The level of detail and communication in regards to questions on the training block, specific workouts, goals, or honest takes on where fitness is, it’s all answered timely and clearly with deep thought.

I am the fittest I’ve ever been and have gotten here thanks to Brant keeping me on track with workouts that are difficult yet achievable and fun.

For anyone looking for a new running coach Brant is your guy. Will be sticking with him for many races to come!

Training with Brant has been an incredible experience. As someone preparing for my first marathon, I came in with both excitement and nerves, and he has given me the structure, confidence, and guidance I needed. His weekly plans are clear, personalized, and always build in just the right way to push me without overwhelming me.

What I’ve appreciated most is how encouraging and responsive he is — I feel like he really listens and adjusts based on how I’m doing, not just following a one-size-fits-all program. Already, I can feel myself getting stronger, more consistent, and more confident about race day.

Brant is an outstanding coach! I’ve struggled with recurring running injuries, especially in my knees and hips, but since working with him, everything has changed. In just a month and a half, he’s created a personalized plan that has safely ramped up my training without a single setback. For the first time in years, I feel like I’m truly progressing, my joints feel strong, my movement is pain-free, and I’m actually enjoying running again. I can’t recommend Brant highly enough to anyone who wants to get into running or take their training to the next level.

I’ve loved working with Brant as I train for the New York City Marathon. It feels like I’ve got someone in my corner who I can trust, an expert with years of experience who really knows what he’s doing. He’s super responsive, and he builds training plans that fit my goals and my schedule. Having his accountability has kept me consistent and motivated, and I’ve already noticed improvements in both my pace and endurance compared to when I trained on my own last year. It’s been a fantastic experience, and I’d absolutely recommend Brant to anyone looking for a coach.

I have had the chance to work with Brant for a couple of months. I am runner who got back into the sport at the age of 50 and have been running consistently for 5 years. Several months ago, I decided that it was time for a coaching change and I am very happy that I was able to connect with Brant.
Even though I have had great results with workouts and racing in the past, I feel like I am becoming a better runner under Brant’s coaching. I also feel confident that under Brant’s guidance, my best race times are ahead of me. Brant is very encouraging and always prompt in answering my questions. It was a pleasure to meet him in person this past June after a race in Toronto.
I have enjoyed learning new things from Brant such as how to properly warm-up for big workouts and races and how to fuel properly for a marathon.
Thank you so much Brant for everything you have done to help me! I am so excited to be working with you and looking forward to our running journey ahead!

I started working with Brant about 2 months ago and have never felt better about my running ability and achieving my goals. From the conversations about goal setting and initial fitness levels, I knew that even as an amateur runner, I could count on Brant to provide professional coaching and advice. I check in with him several times each week as he monitors progress and I can always reach out with questions if I need help. On top of that, he holds me accountable to my workouts, providing individualized attention to your training plan and progression. He’s focused on helping you achieve your goals, but also understands the need to be healthy outside of running too. Preventing injury is key and he always is checking in, making sure your body feels good post-workout. There are a ton of coaches to pick from, but Brant is an expert at supporting your goals, promoting healthy progress, and holding you accountable to make you the athlete you aspire to be. Highly recommend!

After years of recreational running and following online running plans with no evident progress and lots of injuries, I finally decided to seek professional coaching with Brant, and it was one of the smartest decisions I’ve made! Brant is knowledgeable about the dos and don’ts of running that has helped me anchor my training, and save me hours of doing research on my own. He is also super understanding about the juggles of life, which he adapts into his prescribed plans for his athletes. Most importantly, my runs have felt SO good since I’ve started working with Brant! With his guidance, I’ve been gaining all the fitness without any of the injuries or chronic knee pains that I experienced with my previous plans. I’ve already completed one race under his coaching and currently training for 2 upcoming world majors with evident improvement on my stats. For anyone who’s sitting on the fence right now, I highly recommend Brant as a running coach- you will not regret it!

This is my first time working with a coach that has been so responsive to all my questions, concerns and life events. In the last 2 months, he’s helped me to mange my cranky Achilles while working towards my Boston Qualifing goals. I’m very happy to be part of Brant’s team – he’s built more than just a great coaching relationship, he’s also built a small virtual running community. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together in the future.

It’s surprisingly hard to find a coach that cares about your training as much as you, and cares about you as a person even more – and this is exactly the type of coach Brant is. Having done almost every sport you can think of, I’ve worked with more coaches than I can remember. Brant stands out among all other coaches in his commitment to my long-term success, positive and reliable communication, unwavering support through the ups and downs of sport, and honesty when I need to hear it.
Brant has not only helped me to achieve my athletic goals through injury and other setbacks, but also to grow as an athlete and person. I continue to love the sport of running of triathlon because of good coaching and support like Brant’s and I hope everyone gets to experience the unmatched level of coaching he offers.

Brant provides great coaching value, in that I can be on the road or at home, and he’s on top of my workouts, data, and feedback, and modifies my workouts to suit, providing prompt feedback and input. Encouragement is key, and Brant is always just so. Looking forward to more coaching as we continue to work towards my goals.

I’m glad I hired Brant. His training and nutrition recommendations and overall support boosted my running knowledge and confidence. With Brant as my coach, I ran my fastest half marathon in over five years. I also finished the San Diego marathon with a big smile on my face despite a hard course and difficult weather conditions. I am excited and optimistic for the next race season – thank you Brant.

I like working with Brant. Adaptable, always checking in and making sure he has the right picture about how am I doing and progressing. We have been working for a few months now and it shows. It’s always nice to see and know that there is someone there who takes good care of what sessions you should do, so that you avoid injuries and become the better you, and most importantly a healthier you. Thanks Brant!

I’ve been working with Brant for the past two months, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Thanks to his guidance, I successfully completed a 10-mile race with a huge negative split – something I wouldn’t have paced so well without his expertise.

He’s now helping me build a solid running base for both my upcoming half marathon and full marathon, and his support has been nothing short of exceptional. One of the things I appreciate most is how responsive and communicative he is. Whether it’s adjusting my training schedule around my busy days or answering questions about pacing, recovery, or how I’m feeling, he’s always there!

One of the best things about Brant is that he knows how to tailor a plan personal to my growth – not just a one-size-fits-all approach. His encouragement, expertise, and adaptability have made all the difference in my progress. If you’re looking for a coach who listens, motivates, and genuinely cares about your goals, I highly recommend working with him! Excited to continue growing together!

Brant has guided me through training for three marathons, including two full cycles, and it’s been a game-changer. He’s helped me build aerobic fitness sustainably while staying injury-free, which had been a challenge for me in the past.

He’s great at keeping me in check and adapting the plan based on real-time feedback. When needed, due to illness, travel or impending injury, we’ve swapped runs for cross-training sessions on the Peloton bike to reduce impact while maintaining training load and consistency.

His communication is excellent! He checks in regularly, responds quickly, and makes thoughtful adjustments. I always feel like I’m being coached by someone who’s genuinely engaged.

I’ve finished each cycle feeling stronger, more durable, and better prepared for race day.

Coach Stachel is a great coach. I started working with him in late 2023. We’ve been through a lot, and he’s great at working in a training plan that can be balanced with your commitments. He’s also a great methodical coach. He does a great job taking things step by step. He also knows how to deal with when an athlete has a setback, and he can adapt accordingly. If you’re in college or have a job, Coach Stachel is great for someone who can give you a program that can fit into your commitments and adapt as time progresses.

I have been working with Brant for almost 2 years now and he has been an amazing coach who has helped me achieve my running goals while providing the structure to allow me to enjoy other forms of exercise I enjoy. Since starting with Brant I have managed to PB in my half marathon and shave over 20 minutes off of my marathon time achieving 3 BQs in all 3 marathons I have run working with him, including in Boston.

Brant is very communicative, patient, motivating and takes your goals seriously no matter your level of fitness. He has been excellent at tailoring my training to meet me where I am through some minor injuries and setbacks. I have learned so much working with Brant and would recommend him to anyone looking for a coach.

I signed up for my first Olympic distance triathlon and started working with Brant less than 2 months before the event. We came away with a 9th place in my age group and I could not have been more pleased. Really exceeded my expectations. If you are serious about achieving results you cant go wrong with him. He balances your training load very well and keeps constant communication with you. Give him a try, you wont regret it!

I believe that the right people come into your life at the right time, and this is true for connecting with Brant as a coach. From the initial consultation, Brant’s insights into potential limiters were spot-on. In the past few months of working together, I have increased daily run speed and confidence for upcoming races. The most meaningful part of the coaching experience is a shift in mindset around running, excitement for running as a part of triathlon, and confidence in ability to progress. These are supported w the physical training, but truly developed from the consistent check-ins, support, and personal feedback. The sport specific knowledge has helped pinpoint exact ways to improve, and I am grateful, thankful, and excited for what’s to come. Thank you, Brant! You are appreciated and highly recommended.

I began working with Brant in December to train for a marathon coming up in May. I ran a BQ time in November, but don’t believe I will be far enough under the cutoff to get in, so I decided to try to get a coach for the first time to try to further improve my time. Brant has been fantastic to work with so far! He is great at maintaining communication and consistently checking how I am feeling. He is great at adapting the training plan, which we have had to do a couple of times due to illness. I feel as if my fitness has improved quite a bit since the beginning of the year. Would recommend that anyone looking into running coaching give Brant a try!

Brant is a super coach. I’ve been working with him for about 4 or 5 months. I returned to distance running last year. Brant was very interested in learning about my running and my goals. I would be considered a master runner (aka older) and he is a good listener and is providing schedules that push me and continue to show me that I can run paces that I have not run in a long time.

He is very quick to reach out after my runs to check in and very responsive to questions. His responses are informative and reassuring. To date my workouts have been very productive as I head into race season.

I highly recommend Brant and I’m lookiong forward to working with him as I continue my running journey.

I’ve had several coaches over the years. Like Brant, they were terrific athletes in their own right, and they had their own goals they were trying to achieve. Have you ever tabled a bunch of your other responsibilities to focus on your own stuff? … That’s what I felt those athletes did to me. But Brant is not those other people. I get regular communication from Brant, and he’s always monitoring my progress.

Just the other day, he noted that I’m overperforming in the short distances (underperforming in the long distances?!!%?!?). He’s paying attention! Brant is looking at my history of races and seeing where my strengths and weaknesses are. You know who does that kind of thing? A good coach like Brant.

His style of training is best left up to you two to discuss, but I’ll say that I didn’t want to slow down in my workouts despite his recommendations. But I did as he said, and I saw significant improvement in my threshold paces and durations. Feats I could not have done six months ago. I’m pretty sure I’ll eventually just give him access to my checking account so he can take whatever $$$ he sees fit for his services.

I have started the coaching with him 50 days ago and at that time I was a little reluctant, because I was going through a 10-month injury in my foot and didn’t know whether I should find a coach to train with. Brant worked with me, designing a training to help me recover, also aiming at my running goals on the long term. 50 days later and I can already say we were successful! So I am very happy of how things developed and grateful that it was him – he knew exactly how to help me, and that’s exactly what I needed, his experience and expertise certainly counted a lot. If you have ever been injured before, you know what it means to be able to run again after a long time.
Now I’m excited to see how far we can go!

If you are reading this you are probably trying to decide if you should signup with Brant.
For what it is worth, I am an old guy living in a retirement village in Florida recovering from Cancer.
A tech nerd that has never been able to run a 5k without walking.
For Christmas my wife signed me up with Brant as a running coach.
I was skeptical, how is a guy in Canada that works with elite athletes going to be able to help an old guy in Florida?
I hate to say this but I was wrong, my wife was right.
Brant has transformed my running, I have confidence, I enjoy it, and can run for miles now without stopping.
Signing up with Brant didn’t just improve my running, it has improved my life.
So yea, you should sign up with Brant.

I’ve been coached by Brant for over a year now, and have been very happy with the results. He helped me achieve a major life goal last year – finishing a full IRONMAN – in addition to my first marathon in 10 years and multiple distance PRs along the way (not originally part of the plan!). Long distance triathlon training can be very stressful, not just because of the load but also the mental side constantly wondering “am I doing enough?”. Brant was great about explaining our training methodology and the personalization to my conditioning and goals. I’ve seen many others complain that the training load for a full is simply too much to be safe or healthy and wracked with injury risk, but I never felt this way working with Brant. I was able to achieve all of my athletic goals with his support and guidance last season, and look forward to even more this year!

I’m not a runner, and have never trained for a running event. I have an opportunity to do a pretty tough ultramarathon and raise money for a great cause, and I knew I needed help. After reading about his experience and all the great reviews from others, I decided to hire Brant to help get me ready. I’m just a couple months into training so far and I’m honestly blown away at where I’m at right now and feeling great about where I’ll be by race time. If I had tried training myself, I would have burned out or injured myself by now. By just following Brandt’s advice and activity prescription to a T, I can see and feel myself improving weekly. Hiring the right coach is well worth the money and then some! Thank you Brant!

After years and years of being self coached, I decided to explore the option of working with a coach to help me with a short window between two marathons. I reached out to three coaches with Brant being the last of the three coaches I contacted. Immediately from his first email response to me, I knew he was someone I could learn to trust, someone who would be genuinely invested in helping me achieve my goal, and someone with a lot of experience in coaching and all aspects of running.

From the get go, I have been continuously impressed with Brant’s communication. I don’t know how he is able to communicate with me so frequently – it’s amazing! Sometimes he even beats me to it after I load up my run! The attention I receive from him feels like I’m his only athlete, but I know that’s not the case being a part of his WhatsApp group with many of his other athletes. From general kudos on easy runs to guidance on up coming workout runs to explaining the whys of why we’re doing a particular workout to guiding me when workouts don’t go well to guiding me through injury to helping me dial in my race fuel/nutrition, Brant’s communication and willingness to share his knowledge is absolutely top notch.

Brant has really helped me grow as an athlete by refining my knowledge of running and training. I’m really thankful to Brant and looking forward to seeing what the work we’ve done together will bring come race day!

Coming back to running three years ago, I’ve been going at it solo using any resources I could find to reach my goals. The idea of a coach only crossed my mind when speaking to other runners at my last marathon. I joined Brant six weeks ago and already feel like I’m well on my way to accomplish something that could have taken much longer to achieve. The value in his programming is very evident. Beyond that, the support he provides is exceptional. It’s great to have someone to bounce ideas off of and review your sessions with. The experience he has shows in how confidently he breaks down your session, makes suggestions and the results that come to follow. If you’re thinking about the idea of coaching, I recommend taking the next step and committing to reaching your goals sooner! Brant will keep you on track and work with what ever your personal week brings your way!

Working with Brant has been a total game-changer. His support, expert guidance, and belief in my potential have helped me reach new heights as a 2:37:45 marathoner. Thanks to his expertise and constant encouragement, I’ve smashed goals I never thought possible. I’m truly grateful for his dedication and commitment to my growth as an athlete.

I have worked with Brant for the past few months in a marathon prep and I am amazed by the level of coaching. As a running enthusiast who had no formal background, I wanted a coach to bring my running to the next level and to teach me more about the training methodology that professionals use. I had reached out to several different coaches, and Brant stood out to me as someone who immediately understood my goals and where I was having challenges. He created a tailored program according to my preferences and my previous training history. All the workouts have been thoughtfully designed with a clear rationale and the variety keeps me excited to run every week! Brant consistently checks in with me after every run and adjusts the plan if needed. Most of all, I am impressed with his effort in answering all my questions, from everything regarding threshold training, high carb fueling, treadmill runs, etc. I hear so many different philosophies about how to best train for a marathon and its so helpful to have someone that can contextualize all the information to your personal situation. I can tell that he genuinely has so much much passion for the sport and passing it onto others. This is my third marathon build, hoping to get a BQ and I’m confident that Brant can help me get there!

Brant has been a terrific coach over the past year and has been a key element to help me achieve recent racing goals. Brant is a very consistent and reliable coach, and extremely supportive to his athletes. As a ‘leisure athlete’ I was seeking more structure and guidance to help target some goals. Under his guidance, I was able to reduce my marathon time by over 5 minutes (BQ) this spring. I subsequently moved into training for a 70.3 Ironman, for which he continued to build a consistent training plan. Unfortunately, due to a cycling crash, plans quickly changed, however Brant continued to help me during my recovery to ensure I didn’t expose myself to further injury while returning to training. From there, Brant has continued to help me build a strong triathlon training base and I look forward to the next marathon block ahead under his training regime. Thanks Brant!

I’ve been training with Brant since December 2021 as a competitive Masters athlete. When we started, I was stuck in a multi-year plateau, but under Brant’s guidance, I’ve seen continuous improvement. His thoughtful, well-designed approach has been key to my progress, and his intuition and expertise make him incredibly easy to trust. Brant is not only knowledgeable but also a great listener, always open and approachable. I highly recommend him!

Since rediscovering my love for running four years ago, I decided to fully invest in it to see how far I could push myself. After a year of training on my own, I was introduced to Brant and decided to hire him as my coach. I’ve never looked back; it has been the best investment I’ve made.

Brant is a fantastic coach. He tailors effective workout plans and is extremely attentive and accommodating. He goes the extra mile to help when work and life get in the way of training.

Since starting to work with him, I’ve achieved personal bests in my last four half marathons and in my 5K. Hire Brant—you won’t regret it for a second!

Brant is a great person and an even greater coach! I was a recreational runner who had never had a running coach before and wanted someone to guide me so I could better realize my potential. Over the last 7 months, Brant guided me to build a solid base, wrote fun speed workouts to help me get faster, and kept me level headed through all the mental ups and downs of training. I have a history of injury and he has been very careful to make sure I stay injury free and ease into things even when I get excited and want to push myself. He reaches out after every run no matter how short / easy or long / hard to see how things felt and get the very valuable qualitative feedback that watch data doesn’t show. I’ve learned so much from him about pacing, fueling, workout planning, and injury prevention, and he is so responsive whenever I have any sort of question. By writing the plan week by week, he has been able to help me adapt to life’s ebbs and flows (like a 2.5 week honeymoon 2 months out from race day) — this personalized attention is unmatched. I’m feeling confident and strong for my upcoming race and am excited to see what I am capable of thanks to Brant’s help!

I have been running on my own and with groups in my community for many years (2009+). In 2020, I slowly started to burn out from running. For the next two years I started going less and less. By September 2022, I stopped completely. I decided in March 2024, I would start to run again, on my own. Just test it out and see how it felt and how I felt. I was not intending to look for a coach or start any type of training regimen. However, as many runners know, sometimes the itch comes back and unrealized goals start to rear up. This is what I experienced. I started researching running coaches online. I knew nothing about online coaching. Group training and coaching was no longer something that I wanted to do. I came across Brant. He appeared to have a lot of experience and for me he lived in the same province as me, which was on my criteria list. He had been coaching for a long time and had also run all distances. I reached out to him and he responded within a very timely manner. I discussed my running goals with him. I was clear that I did not want to do this if it was not a realistic goal to obtain. Obviously other than not being able to control the actual race day, Brant was confidant I could meet my running goal.
Brant has really helped me to get back into a good running routine and re-prioritize running. He is helping me re-gain my base at a healthy rate. he has me alternating between easy running and workouts. Having a goal, even if it’s more than a year away is helpful for me. It helps give me a purpose of why I am doing what I am doing. He has been good about answering questions and checking in. I like that I can review my week each Monday. It’s helpful to plan my week, even though often the days I run don’t change. He has been good when life has gotten in the way and a workout has not been possible. Brant appears to appreciate that I like to often include my dog in my easy runs or the first half of my workout days. There are often days where I barely have my workout synced to Garmin and final surge when I see I have already received a check-in email from Brant. I feel good about my choice and hopeful that I will be able to cross that finish line next October 2025, completing my 7th marathon in my goal time. I believe that Brant will help me with my personal goal and I am looking forward to see how he plans the next year of my training.

Coach Brant has been a game changer for my running for sure! I had run distances from 5K to the marathon previously, but never really felt confident in my training which was previously based off different online plans, so I decided to invest in a real coach and I liked Brant’s profile. I only started with Brant in mid-June, but I can already see tremendous progress because his plan is so well balanced between giving me enough volume to improve yet not too much to risk injury. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I could handle running 5 days a week because I was coming off an every-other-day schedule. The gradual build, along with 2 days of strength training, has worked very well for me and I can tell that my strength and running form and economy are steadily improving. Although I liked running before, I really love it now!

Brant checks in by email after almost every run, and he is extremely responsive when I have questions or need tweaks to the plan. I always feels like I have expert guidance on the technical side, but also like he’s in my corner, encouraging me all the time. So far it’s been a very rewarding experience, and I’m looking forward to see what I can achieve with Brant’s help!

I signed my son up for coaching from Brant in June to prepare for a couple of summer/fall races. He has exceeded my expectations. I didn’t feel capable of creating a training plan myself and it’s harder for teens to take feedback seriously from their parents. Brant puts everything together, the Final Surge platform is awesome and easy to use. Best of all (for me), for the first time I am completely hands off in my son’s training. He can access everything himself, I don’t have to remind him of anything, he takes the plan seriously and he hasn’t missed a single run since he began working with Brant. Brant communicates regularly with my son via email to check in and make sure everything is going ok. Best decision I ever made for his running, thank you Brant!

I have been working with Brant as my running coach since June, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the level of support and expertise he provides. He has been incredibly accountable, always making sure to schedule sessions around my busy schedule, which I really appreciate. After each session, he consistently follows up to check on how my training is going and to ask how my body is feeling—this level of attentiveness shows his genuine care for his clients’ well-being.

As a seasoned athlete, Brant offers invaluable advice and often shares resources tailored to my specific needs, helping me target areas where I need to strengthen or improve. His guidance is always spot on, and I have seen noticeable improvements in my performance since working with him.

One of the things I value most is his constant positive reinforcement. He has a unique way of boosting my confidence and removing any self-doubt, which is so important when you’re striving to reach challenging goals.

If you are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and encouraging coach to help you on your running journey, I highly recommend Brant. His commitment to his clients’ success is unmatched, and I am truly grateful to have him as my coach.

I have been working with Brant for the past three months, and he’s been an awesome coach. He is my first online coach and I couldn’t have had a better first impression to online coaching. Before I started working with Brant, I noticed I wasn’t getting any better at running at all, no matter the distance, but ever since I started working with Brant, I’ve been improving rapidly. He always responds quickly to messages and is always very responsive to anything you tell him. He was able to help me keep my running going while I was on vacation away from home and I haven’t felt sore since I started training with him despite significantly increasing my weekly mileage. He is also very supportive when I am feeling sore or hurt and helps me work around these things while also keeping my legs moving. Overall, Brant is a great coach and I cannot recommend him enough, and I’m looking forward to working with him in the future!

I was looking for a local coach after battling various injuries on each of the 3 marathons I ran last year. After calling around it quickly became apparent that there really wasn’t anyone around here to fill that gap. I found Team Brant with Team Run Run and haven’t had any injuries this training cycle.

Brant has been coaching me for close to 4 months now and he has helped me avoid injuries while improving. He is great with communication and sends me the workouts one week at a time and modifies as needed. Every time I start to get tightness or a little pain he has been able to recommend the appropriate workouts to avoid injury.

He checks in after almost every run and has been amazing to work with!

I’ve been working with Brandt for about 5 months now and I can’t recommend him strongly enough! I’ve worked with 3 other coaches, an Olympic athlete included, and I would still recommend Brandt over all of them. He’s supportive, communicative and extremely adaptable to the ins and outs of my life. I never have a problem telling him about negative runs that need to be tweaked or positive runs that I would like to repeat, he’s very flexible with my training. I’m working towards a goal for a fall half marathon, and with Brandts training and guidance, I have no doubts that I will achieve my goal. If you want a solid coach to take your training to the next level, Brandt is your man!

I have been working with Coach Stachel for about 2 and a half months and he has been fantastic so far. Very responsive to email and texts, and always posts the week schedule in a timely manner which I truly appreciate. I have felt myself finally improving again on my runs after about half a year of feeling like I have reached a plateau. He really has a good understanding of proper coaching techniques and able to accomodate for different running environments and adjust for any inuries you may have. The coach/athlete dynamic has been great and looking forward to continuing on and seeing the results on my marathon this fall!

Brant is an excellent coach, and working with him has been a game-changer for my running journey. Trusting a run plan is crucial when working with a coach, and Brant has earned my trust completely. Whenever I have questions about a specific aspect of my training plan, Brant never hesitates to dig in and provide thorough explanations. This approach has been incredibly helpful, allowing me to better understand both the overall training strategy and the individual workouts. This clarity not only aids in my adherence to the training plan but also enhances my motivation and commitment.

What sets Brant apart is the dynamic nature of his plans. He meticulously adjusts my training based on my previous week’s performance, ensuring that I am always challenged yet not over-trained. This responsive approach, with its occasional pushes and pulls, has been instrumental in my progress as a runner. Thanks to Brant, I have improved significantly while staying healthy and injury-free.

Beyond his technical expertise, Brant is a person I truly trust, respect, and enjoy working with. His dedication, knowledge, and genuine care make him an outstanding coach and an even better person. I cannot recommend Brant enough to anyone looking to take their running to the next level.

Brant is a stellar coach who will get you to your personal running goals. I focus on long trail races mostly and Brant has been able to get me through some tough multi-day efforts. I starting working with Brant a few months ago and am thrilled to have him provide me with my custom training plan and expert coaching. He is very responsive and considerate with all his personalized messages and reaches out often for updates. He is also very personable and really makes me feel like an individual with customized support and also friendly conversation mixed in.

Brant was able to help guide me in my training between close marathons to get me to the starting line recovered and injury free where I was able to run a BQ time.

I would highly recommend Brant as a knowledgable, personable and supportive coach and I am looking forward to continuing to work with him as I strive towards my next race goals!

I reached out to Brant after dealing with persistent tendonitis that was negatively affecting my training and attitude towards running. I wanted the help of an expert to safely build up my running base and improve my speed in the lead-up to a fall marathon. Since starting with Brant I have reached a level of sustained running that I could never reach in my 5+ years of running casually and training for shorter races on my own. I truly appreciate how he creates thoughtful weekly plans for his athletes and incorporates feedback and performance from the prior week to tailor plans in real-time. I’ve been really impressed by how he can balance your long term plan with these inter-week tweaks that are often needed when balancing the rest of life with running! Being an Ironman athlete, Brant is also extremely knowledgeable about how to work cross-training into a program and my cycling endurance has also improved significantly, despite running being my main focus.

Brant is also an excellent communicator and follows up with you throughout the week on how you are feeling which I’ve really appreciated. He always extends positivity and enthusiasm, and is fully invested in his athletes. He also brings his athlete community together through an optional WhatsApp group and provides advice and encouragement through that channel as well!

Thanks Brant for all of your coaching expertise, very excited to continue to working with you and getting stronger!

I have been with Brant for almost three months and have greatly enjoyed him as a running coach. He is very responsive to my runs and is checking in with how I am feeling to make sure the plan is working well. Brant is able to adapt a running plan that caters to all levels of ability. I recommended my father who signed up with Brant and he has been able to create a plan for him that works well even though we are at different stages in ability. I am excited to see my running progress and the results from the coaching so far!

Brant is an exceptional coach. If you want a truly individualized training plan, and someone with an immense amount of multi-factorial knowledge and experience, he is the coach for you. The amount of communication is perfect, and I always feel like I’m his only athlete (even though I know that not to be true).

I would consider myself a more experienced runner, but I was struggling for a couple years with what felt like a plateau and even some periods of a significant decline in performance. I’ve only been with Brant for a relatively short amount of time, and for much of that time I was dealing with an injury that I sustained just before I started working with him. In that short amount of time, my fitness has already improved significantly. Now I am actually feeling excited about how much I may be able to improve, including with some really long-standing goals, and beyond.

Brant is the best. Straight up.
I came to him after reaching a breaking point and realizing I could no longer trust myself to be leading my workouts. When I contacted him, I had a bad injury that’s turned into a nagging one and was still in pretty intense recovery from an eating disorder. He didn’t even flinch when I told him this, and now I see why. He has singlehandedly helped me make more progress with this injury in 2 months than I had in the 6 months prior. I’m not fully healed, but I am running pretty normally finally! I have a LOT of questions all the time and he is always available to answer them, not to mention he checks in on me after almost every workout. I haven’t gotten to race yet, but I have no doubt I’ll hit at least one PB under his guidance!

Very responsive, knowledgeable, and flexible. I was stuck at a plateau and was constantly injured. I’ve been with Brant for almost 4 months. Since working with him, my zone 2 pace has dropped by almost a minute per mile and set a new half marathon PR by almost 10 minutes while running injury free. I wish I started with Brant years ago. Thank you Brant for all your help.

I started working with Brant a few months ago after a recommendation from one of his other athletes. I had been dealing with feelings of burnout and plateauing, as well as a nagging groin strain, and wanted to enjoy running again without fear of worsening my injury.

I am so happy with my decision – Brant has demonstrated consistent interest and investment in helping me rebuild the proper way, and I have felt better both physically and mentally about running over the past few months. He is communicative and monitors my progress closely so he can tailor and adapt my program as needed (life does get in the way!). I also very much appreciate his guidance on any modifications or schedule changes, no matter how small, I need to make, so I know I’m not putting myself and my injury at too much risk. He has been incredibly supportive even after basic easy runs and strength workouts, and also takes the time to answer my questions so that I can learn how to trust and understand how my body is feeling, no matter how minute the questions are. I have a few races coming up this year, and it’s really helpful to have a coach who can highlight what the focuses and priorities should be so I don’t fall into a cycle of burnout again.

Brant has been instrumental in helping me to re-focus on the basics and developing my confidence up again, and I’m so excited about progress through my program and see where this goes!

I’ve been working with Brandt for about 10 weeks now, and the results have shown. We started on a slow build to get my endurance up, and it was working. I am comfortably running 40 mile weeks, with little soreness, and the mileage is going to keep going up. In the first meet of the outdoor season, we took a negative split approach to the 3k, and broke the school record, something that was not going to happen without him. His communication is stellar and his workouts have been working great for me. Highly recommend him.

In just three months, Brant’s chopp ‘n ed 10 seconds off my swim paces, built my ftp back to its previous high, and developed a strong run base. His training plans are well balanced to my availability and is weekly adjusted depending on the week’s performance, leaving me feeling stronger but not burnt out.

Where do I even start? In the several years I have been working with Brant, I can only say that I would not be where I am today without his incredible wisdom, mentorship, guidance, technical expertise, and camaraderie. From the beginning working with Brant I was rather uncoachable, taking risks in training after RED-s and following a series of injuries. Brant served as one of the only people who was always patient and helped me see the overall picture of where we could go and what we could accomplish. It has always been invaluable having him as a resource to map out a step by step process to get where we both want to go. If you read anything from this review, know that he has delivered lifetime of impact delivered through in person and online coaching that I will always be grateful for.

Alongside these invaluable qualities, I have always been impressed with his instant responses, his 6th sense for predicting outcomes or what I’m thinking, forecasting how to best set me up for success for my own personal goals, and helping me work through general life challenges so I can see a path forward.

I have now PR’d in every event we have targeted multiple times, and am running 110-120+ miles a week comfortably doing double threshold work and competing in the elite/pro categories in races. Not much more I could ask for 🙂

I’ve been working with Brant for about 3 months now. I’m currently training for an ultramarathon and an MS150 bike ride. He has no problem programming both disciplines. I came in while recovering from an injury and his number one concern is always to keep me healthy while getting in the workouts to meet my goals. My fitness score on Strava has increased by 200% in the 3 months I’ve been working with him. If that matters to anyone. 🙂 He is always insanely fast to respond, has a group chat with his other runners where we cheer each other on, and sends out a weekly running tidbit to spread his wealth of knowledge. Add in his knowledge of the mental game, and you have one heck of a coach. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Brant has been absolutely wonderful and amazing to work with! Even w/setbacks and minor injuries he remains encouraging and supportive. My goal is to run a BQ this year. My first attempt will be this month and even if I don’t reach it this time I feel confident I will achieve a PB with the excellent training from Brant. I’ve been working with Brant for only a few months and loving it! He’s my first coach and has been so kind, helpful, and really responsive to my questions. He always asks how my workouts are going (which I really appreciate) after doing a speed workout or long run and adjusting anything if needed. I get injured A LOT from running, and when I got injured working with him, he had a lot of helpful alternative workouts provided to me to help keep me in shape and not loose any progress we’ve made so far. I loose a lot of motivation when I get injured, so having him hold me accountable and just being super understanding about everything, really helped push myself. I can’t wait to keep working with him and reach my running goals!

As a self-coached athlete who’s competed in triathlons up to Ironman and in recent years, ultramarathons, I’d say I take the enjoyable art and science of training pretty seriously as an aging age grouper, now in my early 60s. Recently, I decided to step it up by working with a personal coach, Brant. His positive, prompt communication and tailored approach have significantly enhanced my training. Brant’s dedication to maximizing my potential is clear, and his guidance has been invaluable. Choosing to work with him has been a terrific decision, and I’m thrilled with the progress we’re making together.

I’ve been working with Brant for about 3 months following a half marathon that left me in an unstable state on the heels of an injury. I knew I wanted to keep running for the long haul, but was nervous and demotivated after the race. Brant has really helped me recover well and work not to just hit a time goal for one race, but rather make and keep running a stable part of my life for the long term. Brant is a fantastic mix of practical and empathic; he’s there for all my emotional and physical ups and downs in training and he takes on all of the mechanics, strategy, and planning that I need to get and stay strong after 40. He’s super responsive and flexible. Working with him is really just like having a really knowledgeable friend to keep you going. Very, very highly recommended.

tl;dr if you’re looking for a communicative, personal, caring, knowledgeable coach who is genuinely invested in his athlete’s goals and their wellbeing – Brant is your guy! His coaching is truly tailored to you, your body, and your mind!

I started working with Brant last August with the hopes of running a sub-90 half marathon. Unfortunately, a few months into training my IT band started acting up – Brant was SIGNIFICANT help during that time. He gave me exercises to build strength and messaged me every day about my progress, tailoring each new day based on how I was feeling. After several weeks, we gradually built back up my mileage. I didn’t expect to run the half marathon super well, but ended up running only seconds away from 90 minutes! If it wasn’t for his encouragement and knowledge, I would not have known how to deal with the injury and come back stronger than before.

Beyond that, Brant is suuper communicative (which was a big deal to me when searching for coaches, he got back to me almost instantly) and happy to answer questions and make adjustments to workouts whenever needed. Whenever I felt unmotivated or my body didn’t feel great, Brant gave me confidence to make adjustments, making an effort to understand the craziness that life sometimes brings.

I highly highly recommend working with Brant! I’ve been running for almost 10 years – this is one of the best decisions I’ve made as an athlete by far and has completely changed my training & how I view running 🙂

I signed up with Brant a few months after getting back into regular running after a few decades off (I’m a 55M). He got me on a much more sensible plan to build my base and to do speed and hill workouts. I read a fair amount about training, and Brant’s guidance squares with what I have been reading — run your easy days easy so that you get the most benefit from the harder days. Brant is very, very responsive — I can’t imagine how a coach could be more responsive than him, really. He’s all in on coaching and running (and triathaloning, though that’s not my thing). I had a really nice breakthrough in my first race with him (beating my 5K “A” goal by almost a minute) and now we’re crafting a new plan to build towards the spring racing season. Really glad to be working with Brant!

I’ve been working with Brant for about 3 months now and my running has improved a lot. I ended up with an injury when I started running at the beginning of this year so decided to get a coach to prevent any future injuries. Getting a coach has been a great investment! I went from a 37min 5k to a 29min 5k! Hoping to improve more and finish some half marathons and marathons this year with him as my coach.

I just started working with Brant the end of 2023 in preparation for a March marathon. I was looking for a coach that could tailor my schedule depending on what I have going on week by week. He has been super helpful so far in building my schedule based on my current fitness level, and other priorities, including trips away from home. He is super responsive and encouraging. I feel comfortable reaching out to him, and know he will get back promptly. Im looking forward to see how far I can push my boundaries, and I found the right coach to do that. Highly recommend.

Working with Brant has been great. After facing injuries during self-training, he kept me injury-free through race day. His training plans have kept pushing me without burning me out and after a seven-year break from the marathon, helped me run a personal record. Highly recommend Brant!

I have worked with Brant for almost a year and he has been great to be coached by. I give him my goals and my fitness level at the time and he give me a tailored plan to reach it. He answers your text messages and addresses all questions and concerns. I have reached and surpassed my goal. I would recommend anyone with a running fitness goal to use his coaching services.

Brant is such an amazing coach and person, I am so grateful to have met him and have him as my running coach!

I was a bit hesitant about the virtual format since I never hired a coach before. I evaluated several coaches before making a great connection with Brant and deciding to move forward with him. After working with Brant, I am more convinced that the virtual coach format is perfect for my lifestyle – I am married with 3 young daughters, have a professional career that requires frequent travel, and vacation regularly with family and friends. Brant is extremely responsive (we email/text regularly), insightful (a wealth of running, fitness, and nutritional knowledge), and considerate (encourages involvement of family and community with running). Brant also understands that each week’s schedule may look very different, and adjusts weekly training plans accordingly while still keeping the end goal in mind.

In addition to being an excellent running coach, Brant is also somebody who enjoys building community and camaraderie amongst the athletes he trains. Brant setup a group chat for his athletes where he publishes a weekly newsletter on various topics, and we discuss various running (and non-running!) topics amongst each other throughout the week. This has been a great resource for me and I’m learning something new every week.

I highly recommend partnering with Brant as your coach, you will be so glad you did!

Brant has been awesome to work with! This was my first time working with a coach after using pre-set plans in the past. He has been so fast to reply and communicate and has given great guidance and advice. He’s also been great to work with in planning based on my schedule which has made things a lot easier and I truly feel like everything is tailored for where I am at and my goals. I highly recommend working with Brant!

I feel very lucky to have found Brant!

Brant took the time to discuss my goals in depth and partner with me in the long run (pun intended) to achieve. In a short period of time, I have seen better results than attempting to travel this road alone over the past 10 years. I feel stronger and more likely to succeed with his coaching. He is always super responsive and reaches out right after I run. He truly cares about my needs and my success in running.

I highly recommend Brant to all who are looking to improve and reach their goals.

Brant is an outstanding coach and mentor to work with and learn from. I came to him a broken bird, with a ton of lost motivation from another rough coaching experience and serious injury, and he’s been guiding me to re-learn how to trust my body, work through frustration, and fall back in love with movement all over again. Between his passion for people and his love of sport, Brant is a standout in the coaching world. He is absolutely everything and more that I was looking for in a coach: communicative, reliable, optimistic, sensitive, a community builder, caring, and honest in all of the best ways. Brant has talked me down when I’ve been upset and full of rage around my injury, and he talks me up when I feel confident or look to the future. He is level headed and sets realistic goals and expectations around training, while also accommodating my plans around a full time job and graduate school. He helps you look forward to what the future has to offer but in a measured way that simultaneously focuses on one step at a time, one foot in front of the other. He also writes workouts that are fun, challenging, and engaging. I cannot boast enough about how lucky I feel to have stumbled upon him in my research and I can only urge everyone looking for a coach to read his reviews as they speak volumes about who Brant is as a coach and a person. I’m so excited for what our partnership has in store!

Brant was recommended to me following the departure of my previous coach (who was great for what I needed at the time) and recovering from a rough injury.

I can only say great things. Quick to respond, incredibly available to his athletes, and accommodating to training requests. Brant has an enormous heart with an equally shining personality. It’s difficult to sustain a meaningful relationship virtually, but he does it with grace and integrity. I look forward to continuing our work together! 🙂

Brant is a phenomenal coach and a gem of a human being. I was feeling burnt out, physically and mentally, and he completely turned this around— and helped me achieve a PR/BQ far beyond what I would have expected. He is incredibly responsive and works with you as a coach to custom build training routines that fit in your life. So glad I met him and get to work with him, I highly recommend!

Brant is a rock star! Responsive. Thoughtful. Available. Supportive. Positive. Everything you would hope for in a coach. He wove my desires and preferences into a strategic plan and I saw progress each and every week. I experienced zero injuries while I gained both speed and distance during the build-up to (my goal) running a Marathon from start-to-finish, at age 57, with some tight parameters – vegan, road biker and Zone 2 disciple. Brant made full accommodations and kept my training interesting while continually compounding and improving. He adjusted to keep me spinning without any sacrifice from the running improvements. And I finished 26.2 with a smile, no injuries, and a new found passion for incorporating running into my life on a regular basis.

Additionally, anytime I had a question or emailed a comment, he was super responsive – timely, thorough and thoughtful. While he may have been hundreds of miles away, I felt his support at all times and he was a tremendous cheerleader leading up to the Marathon and immediately upon completion.

I thought this would be a one-and-done for me. Now, having achieved my initial goals, we are already talking about the next one and how to keep the progress we’ve made while adding speed so that my PR continues to move in the right direction!

No question or challenged slowed him down – Brant is extremely well-versed and ready with information and a positive disposition. It’s easy to see why he is such a successful coach – it starts with who he is as a person. Suffice it to say that Brant is a 1st class coach and anyone would benefit from having him in their corner.

Brant – truly, thank you. I appreciate you and look forward to our continued journey!

I had reached a plateau in my training and after watching countless YouTube videos, made the decision to work with a coach. Several databases led me to Teamrunrun which allowed me to find a coach with experience and a phone call confirmed that Brant was a fit. He is an excellent coach who has structured a plan that is right for me. I’ve worked with Brant for 4 months (since August). During this time, we have rebuilt a foundation following an injury and I’m running at a level that truly surprises me. Brant provides timely feedback and motivation. I had no idea how effective remote coaching would be, but I am a true believer. Brant is highly knowledgeable, straightforward, genuine, reliable and an excellent person. I would enthusiastically recommend him as a coach for runners of all levels.

Working with Brant as my running coach has been an absolute game-changer, this guy is the real deal. I stumbled upon Brant’s profile on a running website after working with and extensively interviewing a few other coaches who left me feeling like I was just another name on their client list. But with Brant, it’s a whole different story. First of all, his pricing is super reasonable. I used to pay double or even triple for coaches who couldn’t hold a candle to what Brant offers. My schedule is all over the place, and I was worried about finding a coach who could work with that. Brant was amazing and worked to tailor my training to my life. Communication is constant and supportive to say the least!

Sadly, I’ve had to hit pause on our training for a bit, but you can bet I’ll be back with Brant as soon as I can. So, if you’re looking for a coach who’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but also approachable, and as passionate about your running goals as you are, Brant is your guy. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Working with Brant was one of the best decisions I’ve made since returning to running four months ago.

This was my first time using an online coach, but I could tell after our intro call that we were a good fit. He does a great job at individualizing my training plan on a weekly basis based on my goals, current fitness, and any potential nabbing injuries. I ran my first 5k in seven years this past weekend, winning my age group, and I know it was primarily due to his strategic plan. He also was able to work around cold/sinus issues that hit me just two weeks before my race.

One of his strengths, that you’ll realize almost immediately, is how prompt his communication is. And even though he responds very quickly, his answers are still always thorough and helpful. As much as I’ve benefitted from his training plan, I also appreciate how much I’ve learned.

If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend moving forward with using Brant as your coach.

So far so good. I come to Brant mid-cycle, having done my first 2 marathons in the last 12 months, and after parting with a local coach (my first try at coaching). I think I might be a mixed blessing for any coach. I have learned a lot on my own, but I have a lot left to learn (and want to learn more), and I know I can be a handful as an analytical engineer who likes to get to root cause and understand all five whys. (that last comment will make sense if you’re an engineer)

Brant has been ever patient and is very responsive. Very encouraging. Reins me in as needed. I often want to do more. Under his guidance I have overcome (or at least “put into remission”) some persistent right pes anserine bursitis. My running capacity/speed has continued to increase. (I have a goal to BQ at some point. I never did sports in HS. Spurts of sports periodically, but not notable until recent take to marathoning.)

While recently (last few days) a new problem (left knee pain, maybe IT band) has popped up, he has provided great modifications and advice. He even answered my phone call Saturday morning when I had bad knee pain after pausing mid-long-run. I was very worried about being able to get home on my own vs. calling an Uber. After describing it… he advised “if you can get back up to marathon pace, it’ll likely loosen up in a mile or less, and you can finish… but you may not want to slow down until home after that”. That’s exactly how it went. Then he planned a video call for us to chat in the afternoon to get a bit more detail, and provide some recommendations on how to move forward. I scheduled an appointment with my local Physical Therapist for Monday (per Brant and my plan) to get to root cause of my new pain (which is likely my own fault… there are a few possibilities where I did some dumb things).

Anyhow… always responsive, very attentive… very encouraging and upbeat. Very knowledgeable. All the things you want in a coach!

I have been working with Brant for the last two months, and it has been the best choice I could have made. Brant is extremely responsive over text and always makes himself available to chat over the phone when needed. His plans are tailored very specific to your individual needs and are set up on a weekly basis based on how the previous weeks training has gone. He knows how to push you to perform your best, but also knows when to back off and allow you to recover and prevent injuries.

Ever since signing up and working with him, my recovery time has decreased, my fitness has increased, and I am making progress towards the goals that I have set. If you are even considering hiring a running coach, I would highly highly recommend reaching out to Brant!

I am one month into my training plan with Brant, and am already noticing a huge difference in my fitness level and recovery rate. As someone who has been plagued by many injuries, Brant has been essential in bulking up my running volume, while making sure I am not overtraining. For the first time in all my years of being a distance runner, I no longer wake up with heavy “dead legs”, despite running more weekly miles than ever!

Brant is also top notch when it comes to communication. He is very patient while answering my many (many!) questions at all hours of the day. I appreciate his honesty and expert advice when I want to push paces or sneak in an extra run…he’s not afraid to tell you what you don’t want to hear when he knows something is detrimental to your goals. I’ve come to rely on his extensive knowledge, and his explanations are both thorough and supportive. It turns out Brant is helping me just as much psychologically as physically!

The training plan he built me is both fun and flexible. It’s matched perfectly to my current fitness and goals, and he’s quick to check in after my more challenging runs. I’m sincerely looking forward to the next couple months and attaining all my running goals with Brants support. I highly recommend anyone who is considering a running coach to reach out to Brant…I wish I could give him 6 stars!

I have been working with Brant for the last few of months.
I have been running for several years. Unfortunately, last year I had an injury from over training. This year I wanted to avoid all injuries and get a PB , so I started my search for a running coach.
I found Brant on team run run and if I am being completely honest, I chose him because we live in the same city and the weather here can be unpredictable and challenging for running and I am so happy I did.
Our initial consultation was over the phone. We went over my training history, injuries, goals etc.
Brant is amazing!!! I can’t say enough good things about him.
He understands that I have a crazy schedule and works around it, he is knowledgeable in all things training from, running to cycling to strength training.
I really appreciate that he checks in to see how I am doing and if I have any questions. Whenever I reach out with questions or concerns, he responses quickly.
When I have any doubts about whether my goal is obtainable, he is supportive and encouraging.
Most importantly he has a great sense of humor!
I would absolutely recommend Brant as a coach. He is wonderful!!
