I specialize in creating a program for someone who is especially new to running, someone who took a break and motivated to start racing again, or someone who just wants to stay fit and incorporate running into their workout routine! My background in exercise science, physical therapy, and strength and conditioning allows me to provide you with resources and tips to help you become an all-around, resilient, and comprehensive athlete. I believe in science, evidence-based research which inspires me to make plans that cater to each unique individual.

I am a very hands-on coach who is interested in your training and your day-to-day life! To succeed and have fun with training, my expectation would be that you and I would communicate regularly; so that I can modify if needed and progress your plan safely and effectively. It’s inevitable that we’ll have things come up, but if you stay driven and keep me in the loop, we can still achieve the goals we have set. Also, the more consistent you are in training, the better your body adapts to the change. So, keep trying even though it seems like a bad workout. I will be here for you along the way!

I’ve been coaching with Team RunRun since February 2021 and have enjoyed getting to know many athletes from across the U.S. and internationally! I coached everyone from the couch (non-runner) to someone who hopes to qualify for Boston. In addition to run coaching, I’ve been working in the Physical Therapy field for over 10 years helping patients return to their prior level of function. These patients include law enforcement officers and firefighters wishing to return to running for work.

I am a busy wife and mama to 3 little kids. I’m a huge Bay Area sports fan – Warriors, Giants, and the 49ers. We enjoy going up to our cabin on the weekends where I enjoy paddleboarding, hiking and jogging with the stroller!

The biggest influence in becoming the best runner I could be was my own coach – Coach Phil Orr. He has guided me through many of my marathon trainings. He helped rationalize all my training questions and provided plans for me that initially I didn’t think were possible, but in the end lead me to my PRs and made me love running even more!

In high school I ran short distances, the 100 and 200 meters. Later in life I got into long distance running and raced countless 5ks, 10ks, half and full marathons. These races were mixed with road and trail racing, finishing some with Age-Group and Female Overall Awards. I loosely keep up with personal time records because for me it has been more about completion and not always time.

Coach Rez is the best! She checks in frequently and always comments on my runs. Even though this is virtual coaching it is like she is there with you. I started running again after 6 months of barely logging any miles. We are working towards a half marathon and this is an awesome training experience.

She works with my schedule, always responds to my texts, moves my runs around if something comes up. Thank you coach Rez and looking forward to many more months with you.

Rez is a wonderful coach!! My main goals were to build consistency and continue running during the early portions of my pregnancy. She was so supportive throughout it all and was very flexible with my workouts, especially considering that I’m pregnant. She checked in frequently and quickly adaptive my workout plans as needed. I really look forward to having her support when I return to running post-pregnancy. I’d highly recommend Rez to anyone who is looking for a running coach!!

Coach Rez is simply the BEST!
It’s my first time being coached and decided on that after the pandemic really affected my running. After less than 2months, I was back to being able to run a sub-2hr half marathon distance, something I hadn’t done since the pandemic.
Coach Rez is incredibly attentive, encouraging and gives immediate feedback on all my runs. I’ve had a few set backs and she adjusted my program quickly. She pushes you and makes you realize you’re more capable than you think She’s just the best, I’m not sure I even deserve her as my coach!

I’m very happy to have found Coach Rez! She is everything I need in a coach. She’s upbeat and encouraging and I love her positive energy. And she has the experience and skills to keep me progressing in my running. I cannot recommend Rez enough whether you are interested in pushing yourself to get off the couch for a 5K or training for ultras!

Rez is a wonderful coach! She helped me create a plan and stick to it! She answered all of my questions right away and commented on all of my runs! I ended up meeting my goal for my half marathon and I hope to work with her again in a year to complete the full marathon.

Coach Rez was SO great! I was a beginner runner and she worked with me to complete a half marathon!! Not only does she care about you physically, but I felt so cared for mentally as a runner. Rez worked with me through a few sicknesses and setbacks through my training and made me stronger. She made me excited about my race and has a holistic and strong approach to help accomplish your goals. I would recommend Rez to ANYONE and will never use another coach after having her! She is the best!

I was in the military previously. I was always a bad runner. It was one of my faults. I specifically looked for a running coach to help me increase my 2 mile speed time and my endurance under 4+mile runs.

When you are an athlete, of whatever fitness category, there is alot of self discipline required to achieve results. It is not 100% on your coach to get you to your end goals. Your nutrition, your sleep, your willingness and your consistency are all your own. Pair that with a great program and great support centered around your goals and you’ll be unstoppable. That’s what I currently have with Coach Rez Nguyen.

I am an active Powerlifter M through F. My maxes are 345/210/370. So I generally have some very strenuous daily workouts. With that. I run M/W/F. I have currently been working with Coach Nguyen for 3 months?…. I think it’s been 3. When we started I had not run in over 5 years. I couldn’t go up a flight of stairs without wanting to die. We began with .25 miles and those made me want to die. Were currently running 2 and 4 miles like a star. Shes funny, supportive and very involved. Her price for training doesn’t do her justice. I’m able to communicate and question without negativity or lashback. She schedules around my needs and goals and we have seen great progress.

If you’re looking for a well rounded adaptable coach, look no further. I did weeks long research before I picked her. Shes stuck with me forever. Sign up now. ????

There are so many good things to say about Coach Rez and Team RunRun! Coach Res is always checking in and helping adjust workouts to meet my needs and keep me motivated. She’s an excellent communicator and checks in regularly to see how things are going (both with my runs and my non-run workouts!). She offers links to resources (articles, stretches, etc.) that help keep me informed. She really tries to make sure she’s meeting you where YOU are at and not just trying to plug you into her system. I highly recommend her to anyone, but especially to anyone getting started, wanting some accountability, or just unsure about the benefits of having a coach. Rez is awesome! Get a coach! It’s totally worth it no matter if you’re running a marathon or trying to get off the sofa!

Coach Rez has been amazing thru my entire time with her. I joined team Run Run to get myself back into running after stopping for some time. Coach Rez has always been understanding of where I’m at and is always willing to meet me at whatever level of running I’m capable of doing that week. Through out this experience, I have had many ups and downs with my mental health. Many stops and no exercise for weeks. Coach Rez’s energy has always been amazing and up lifting. I always look forward to that little comment and “way to go Edith” that she comments on every exercise. Her words of encouragement have elevated this experience beyond my expectations. She’s very knowledgeable and always prepared. Whatever ache or pain that I share with her, she has just the stretch or recommendation for me to do. I can’t recommend her enough.

I started working with Rez about six months ago with a goal to improve my half marathon pace, and Rez helped me train harder and smarter than I ever had. I love not having to plan my training myself: I could turn off my brain and just do the work.
Whenever I doubted myself, Rez was there to encourage me. Whenever I had a life obligation come up, Rez was there to rearrange my runs. Every time I completed my run, Rez would comment right away on any day of the week with comments on my performance and encouragements.
If I could give Rez more than five stars, I would ????

I have been working with Coach Rez for over a year now. She has put together plans and helped me work toward my goals for the 2021 Boston Marathon, trail races, off-season training, and balancing running with everything else that happens in life. I found Rez at a time when I was struggling with motivation and my relationship with running. Her consistency with check-ins and setting achievable plans helped me ramp up to bigger stretch-goals and let me gain confidence in my ability to reach them. Rez’s energy, holistic approach and background make her a great coach for whatever your aspiration and level is in running.
We have worked together to modify plans and she communicates well with me when I find things that work well or needed changes based on my schedule. Through injuries she focused on recovery, strength, and consistency by dialing back mileage and adding in stability work. I’m excited to see the results of the current direction we’re taking my training and look forward to continue to work with her. Coach Rez comes highly, highly recommended from me!

Rez is excellent! Always available and always providing prompt reply and review in the training results.
I was not very confident in the remote training format, but Rez has demonstrated that It is possible and the results will certainly be possible.
    She is highly recommended.
Valuable help and support to reach the goal and improve the pace.

I just started the coach program with Rez, and the results are already been demonstrated.
    Houston Half Marathon: 2:08min
    Chevron Aramco Half: 2:05min
    Next goal: < 2:00min

The accuracy of coaching package implementation a d the effectiveness of the training depends on my availability and will be improved, allowing new results in the near future.
    There we go Rez!

Rez offers as excellent coaching experience, the one I was looking for to improve my half marathon times, perhaps try a marathon. I kind of knew what to do, but not the detailed ‘how’ or ‘why’. Rez worked through my goals, built a program and has worked with me to modify to suit my actual ability, and my work/life balance. She’s worked me through an injury, helped me develop a strength routine. She’s always available with great tips, in-depth discussion, links through text or app comments. I really like the VDOT app and connection to Garmin and Rez was fast to get that up and running, really made the training program and feedback more accessible. I’m working toward an event and I’m comfortable I have a direction and I’m excited to see some progress! A+ experience, really pleased to have found TRR and Rez in particular.

Coach Rez is awesome! As a full-time working mom with two little kids, I needed a coach that was able to create a plan that fits into my schedule. While I have bigger goals down the road, my main goal, for now, is to be more consistent in my training (and have some fun)! During my time with her so far, I was able to win age group awards in both races I ran, increase my VO2 max, and train consistently with no injuries!! She also really listened to my needs and created a plan that let me train without missing out on any large chunks of time with my family. I highly recommend Coach Rez!

Rez is the absolute best coach! She has a great uplifting spirit and passion for helping people meet their fitness goals. Rez helped me rehabilitate an irritated IT band and strived to educate me on how to continue my recovery for long term benefits. She has an immense knowledge and experience in sports rehabilitation. She created an exercise program that fits my schedule and interest with my specific goals in mind. One of my favorite things about Coach Rez is her weekly inspirational messages. She helped keep me accountable on a daily basis with friendly check ins. I know if I ever need more help reaching my next fitness goals she’s my go to girl! 10/10 highly recommended Coach Rez!

I’ve been working with Coach Rez for about 2 months now. I am an experienced runner but had been away from running for awhile and needed some help and motivation to get me back out there. I found that in Coach Rez. She is so supportive and so available. She is ready to change up your training plan for any reason. Sometimes life gets in the way and she is flexible but also offers support to ensure I don’t get too far off track. She’ll offer suggestions on ways to look and plan your runs differently to help you get “unstuck”. She is also so available through text and even phone calls. The new app we use syncs right from your devices so it’s so easy to share all the stats. I couldn’t get myself past 2miles before I started with Coach Rez and 2 weeks ago I hit 7 miles. I have a lot more work to do to reach my goals but I am so glad I found Team Run Run and my Coach!

I have been working with Rez since April when a friend asked me to run a 1/2 marathon in October. Prior running experience was pretty limited to a treadmill. Rez took the time to get to know me and how I exercise to create a plan that was doable and realistic. We set three goals (not to die, finish the 1/2, and a time to finish the 1/2) and went to work. Check-ins and encouragement were frequent as well as communication about aches and pains. Rez is definitely a great coach and I would whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone.

Five Stars All Around!! Rez is so great to work with! She’s high energy and so encouraging! She regularly checks in with you and makes sure that all is well in your world and if something isn’t , she helps you to adjust your training to make it work. She’s very responsive, listens to what your goals and needs are, and makes sure that your training plan is tailored to you and what your goals are. If any training issues arise – injuries, gear, clothes, weather, life, she provides the guidance and support you need. Investing in training with her is one of the best things that I’ve done. I’m a relative newbie to the running world. I initially started training with a half as a goal. I’m now actually working towards a full marathon in January. Thanks so much for all of your support and encouragement!

I’ve worked with Coach Rez for about 2-3 months now and so far it’s been an amazing and also life changing experience overall. She took her time to listen to my goals / needs and worked out a thorough exercise plan – even though I am originally not a runner to start with. She was so patient and also helped me work through my original challenges for myself, and was consistent on check ins to exceed my personal goals. I’ve definitely gotten more than what I’ve asked for, and she exceeded my goals and expectations. I’ve learned so much about her and myself, and I continue to strive towards a better and healthier life. 10/10 for Rez and would highly recommend to anyone who is willing to become a better person and athlete.

Rez is an amazing coach!!! She takes the time to understand your goal and works with you to get there. She puts together a plan/program after taking the time to learn your skills, pattern, pace .etc. She’s very patience and flexible and never over works your body but at the same time encourages you to challenge yourself and to become a better runner. Thank you a million for being my coach Rez!
